Superstar lecturer. Southeastern is lucky to have him. Truly a master of his subject. Incredibly personable. Mind like a computer. Ask questions, and he can keep taking you down another level and expanding on subject. Amazing and wonderful human being. Truly a privilege to listen to someone so knowledgeable and such an excellent communicator.

Dr. Traver is one of the best, if not THE best professors I have ever taken. His lectures will introduce you to a whole new world. I changed my major to History after his class. Passionate, brilliant, exceedingly fair and willing to work with you. Challenging and rewarding. Exactly what I came to college for -- would absolutely take again.

He is the most caring history professor ever. He truly cares about his class and his lectures. They can get very long, but he posts them on moodle to look after. He also has a study guide and map which helps ALOT! You do have to read the book to get a better understanding. He is very understanding and caring though and I will miss him alot!

Really passionate and knowledgeable about history. He tells anecdotes that are relevant and entertaining, while still staying on track. I wish I could take him for so many more classes! The tests were straightforward, and there's really only 4 tests so you'll need to study to pass, but it's basically self explanatory. All in all, I loved his class.

Took Roman History. This guy is a genius on history but not great at getting it accross in lectures. Reads through powerpoints and posts them online, Tons of information to digest and hard tests which are mostly essay. Saving point is that he is very kind when grading but expects a lot of information. Great guy, Genius, okay teacher. Likes Netflix.

He gives you a TON of information in the study guides and expects you to know a lot of information about each piece. The tests are very hard, you have to write very detailed short answers, (he wants more than short really) and to get any sort of passing grade it seems you have to memorize EVERY piece of information her gives you in his rushed lect

I freaking love Dr. Traver! I took him for 418 and I looked forward to his class every time. He knows so much about history and makes the topics very interesting! He can talk really fast but if you ask him to slow down he will. He puts his power points on moodle too! Great professor 1010 would take again.

I loved how Dr. Traver was very passionate about his profession and treated everyone like adults. This is an easy course as long as you go to class. He speaks clearly, but really fast so he permits audio recording his lectures. If you can't hear him or you can't record him, he places his power points on Moodle which a lot of professors don't do!

You will never see history the same again. He makes it come alive & always explains how events relate to modern life or how it influences our life today. No nonsense. No whining. This isn't high school history so if that's what you're looking for then pick a different prof. He likes teaching adults & treats us that way. Very supportive for learners

Terrible teacher. Goes out of his way to make subject harder than it needs to be. Its an intro class for crying out loud. He lectures like we already know the material. His power points are a JOKE. He called me out in class bc i asked for help. I will end the semester with all A's and one C because of this class. DONT NOT TAKE HIM. RUN AWAY.

BORING!!! Don't take if you aren't interested in history. If you are, then you might like that he's really passionate and willing to help you get a good grade. But there is way to much information, there are only four really tough tests per class and he reads straight from the power point. He's also really cheesy and tries to "joke around".

He is by all means a VERY difficult teacher. Although he was hard, I learned a lot of different studying skills because of how hard I had to study. He loves his subject. He does not care to help you though. He talks very fast and goes over information very well. He does give 10% participation in overall grade, so it's not just tests!

This guy. For the test he will give you a study guide with about 90 different terms and there is only 50 questions. The terms is just a general base of what the questions will be about. He talks way to fast. Expects you to know information as you should in a 400 level class. Terrible

One of the best teachers I had this semester. He's a no-nonsense teacher and passionate about his subject, which is great. This is college, not high school, and I'm glad he treats us like we should know what we're doing. Bring a recorder if you don't want to miss anything he's saying. Tests are difficult, but it's an honors course, they should be.

He is too passionate about this subject to teach to incoming freshmen that need to pass a course. He speaks WAYYY to fast and is not clear with his word choice. He skips around through the textbook and does not go in order of the dates that events occurred causing SEVERE confusion. His tests are difficult considering the many essays you must write.

He is passionate about the subject matter and expects his students to enjoy the subject as much as he does. Had him for Ancient Hist. & thoroughly enjoyed the class. He does talk fast which is a pain when taking noted. Must pay attention & study because he's not a blow off professor. You earn what you get. Helpful when asked.. Nice butt, too...

Traver is the Anti-Christ of History. Back in 2010, I had Span, but he had to take medical leave for heart trouble. Now, onto Travers! Spans' substitute for the rest of Spring 2010. He came in, wiped out all of our quiz grades & bonus points, and based our final grade on his test. Went from making A's to D's because this man CAN'T teach! STAY AWAY
