Mr. Petrakis is a very genuine person and you can tell he knows a lot about what he is teaching. He lectures throughout the whole class and makes sure to pay attention to what specific things he says in his lectures that are not on the powerpoint bc it will mostly be on the test. Take notes!! Makes little jokes in class to keep it interesting.

Very hard to stay focused in, he talks a lot and stutters often. Not an awful professor, but would not recommend taking if avoidable. Tests can be confusing too.

This dude is super smart, without a doubt knows his stuff. He makes the lectures easy to follow with little bias (very important in this field especially) and even throws in some bad jokes to keep you listening.

This guy knows his stuff. Seriously, his is extremely knowledgeable in his field. I truly wish I could get his commentary all the time. HOWEVER, the class is lecture heavy and dry. While he has a great sense of humor, he is more of a lecturer than a teacher. Loved the class, but would love more application or something...

Dr. Petrakis was overall a good professor. I enjoyed most of his lectures, but some were hard to pay attention to due to the material. His jokes are funny, and he is a great guy. READ THE CHAPTERS IN THE BOOK. i wish i wouldve realized it sooner. It helps so much to fill in the gaps in your notes!!! 4 tests so GO TO CLASS, take notes, and STUDY!

Dr. Petrakis is very organized and intelligent; he definetly knows what he's talking about. He remains as unbias as possible which I appreciated. Lectures a only a tad dry, but I don't think that's his fault; may just be the material of the class.

He's a great teacher! I love how he really prepares you for law school. If you're lazy, you won't like him. But if you keep up with readings, notes, etc, you will do fine. My favorite professor so far!

One of best professors I took at Southeastern, if not the best. I went on to attend law school after attending Southeastern and Dr. Petrakis's class prepared me well for the reading load that is required for law school. Excellent professor who communicates his point well. 5*

Absolutely loved his class! He gives a lot of notes but the course load isn't too bad. We had 2 book exams, midterm, final, and research paper. I actually enjoyed the books for his class and learned so much. He is very helpful and encourages class discussions. I am taking him again in the Fall. By far one of my most favorite teachers at SELU

He is a great professor. Political Science is a boring topic but he made it interesting. The lectures are long, but go to class and take notes and you'll do fine on the tests. There are 4 tests, including the final which is not cumulative. The book is handy when it comes to studying.

Petrakis was a very good teacher! Sometimes, the lectures were long but he knows that some times it gets boring and he would get everyone's attention and re-stress the important points that he was trying to make. He is very intelligent in political science which can seem intimidating to one who knows little about politics but his tests were not bad

Great teacher! He uses power points during his lectures which definitely help if you miss something he says. He talks pretty fast and stutters a bit too. But he's very passionate of the subject! There's 4 multiple choice true or false tests. He gives study guides but they're REALLY hard to decipher. I'd take him again.

Dr. Petrakis's class is one of the few that I look forward to attending. He actually wants his students to engage and discussion and think for themseles. Too many professors simply want you to conform to their ideals. But Dr. Petrakis encourages free and critical thinking. I highly recommend.

very good teacher. I have always had a interest in politics. Always go to class and copy the slides down that he has. He does talk alot and uses up almost al of the class period but he knows his stuff. He responds back to al emails and is always in his office for office hours. He gives out a study guide for every test so the test is like the study

Dr. Petrakis knows his material, and if you go to class, you will know it as well. He covers a lot of material, so you have to keep up. He is available through email and his office, and is reasonable and willing to work with any issues you have, provided that you are responsible about it and punctually let him know. Great teacher, enjoyed him a lot
