If you disagree with this professor, who knows practically everything about not only the plays, but also the historical period, then it is because you are wrong. Best professor ever, took three classes from him. Great loss to the students that he is no longer at the University.

Professor Weiner has retired and it is a profound loss to the university and the city of Madison.The museum he maintained at his house was incredible--50 Picassos!As for his teaching: He is the brightest professor I've ever known. I took 6 classes with him and he is why I'm an English major.

I had Weiner for Shakespeare, and he is horrible! He believes that there is exactly one interpretation for any play, and it is his. He argues over ridiculous points at length and NEVER concedes anything to students, even when they are well read and have valid points. WORST PROFESSOR OF ALL TIME!
