Difficult class, much studying required, miss a class and you miss a whole unit. She cares a lot about the material and wants to help, regardless the class itself is difficult but do-able

A very caring person and her class was pretty easy but getting up at 8:30 was brutal, especially with her corny jokes. But overall, I don't regret taking her class at all. Also, don't buy the textbook - you will never use it.

Do not take professor Allen for pychology 101!!! Avoid her!!! She shows no interest in engadging with students and doesn't help when you need it. The tests are pulled from out of no where and do not reflect anything she actually teaches. Her lectures are easy to listen but expect to do poorly on the tests and have her not care. Do not take!!

She is the best for Psych 101. I was really happy to getting her as my Psych 101. She is a pretty clear professor. She tells everyone directly what she wants and always is open to talking. LOVED her information and lectures to the class.

I loved taking her psych 101 class as a freshman. She relates to the students a lot because she uses her own life as very impactful examples for a lot of the topics you cover in her class. She's a southern women with a good sense of humor and a great sense of communication so between her power points and pod casts you're guaranteed to learn well.

Dr. Allen is fantastic. I am so glad that I got her for PSYC101. Her lectures are very clear--and she posts podcasts and notes online. You could potentially pass this class without showing up, but she is totally worth going to see every week.

She's really funny and really nice! She records her class and puts them online and puts her power points online too, so coming to class is not necessary. She's funny and her projects are really easy if you just try and the class is pretty interesting!! Don't even bother buying the textbook because you don't need it at all.

She is a very inspiring teacher. I've learned to love Psychology after a few semesters with her as my professor. She's an easy grader, but you have to study in order to understand the material and do well on the tests. Enthusiastic, helpful, and intelligent. You'll love her as a professor!

FREAKIN AWESOME TEACHER!!! she was so much fun and so hilarious! kept class interesting to the point where i actually enjoyed going to class (which is rare). Not too hard, but the material in this class was so interesting that it seemed easy (i took drugs and behavior) DEFIANTLY take this class!!

Very annoying teaching style in class... but she puts lectures on podcast and reads from powerpoint so class not necessary to attend. Doesn't grade too hard on paper & case studies (if you give her what SHE wants), tests not that bad. Just really frustrating & annoying teacher. Class is like psyc 101 in depth.

Although you do not have to attend class, you must read the chapters to do well on the tests..and download her powerpoints.
