This class was so boring. I would sit for an hour and a half while my life withered away. Not to mention she is extremely scatter brained and awkward. Also grades extremely hard for no reason. Definitely do not take this clsss if you need a literature GE

Dr. B is easily one of the best professors I've ever had and this was my favorite class I've taken at OSU. While there was a lot of reading (which is expected in a literature course), she knew when there was too much and was willing to move deadlines as needed. She took a personal interest in her students and was accommodating to personal problems.

Professor Brintlinger's honors Russian literature class has been my favorite OSU class thus far. She expects a lot from discussion and papers, also asking you to read 100s of pages of literature before class, but I have learned so much. Be prepared for class and be willing to ask for help and you will love this class

Lots of reading, but that's to be expected in a lit course. Pop quizzes over the readings; much more so towards the end of the semester. She was a tough grader on papers and exams but fair. Class discussion did not usually cover the books, instead she basically covered the background history or Russian.

Brillant, passionate professor; great at guiding discussions. Provides many opportunities to get feedback and to grow intellectually. She cares SO MUCH about her students; she wants them to succeed! I don't take classes for easy A's, I take classes to learn as much as possible; these are the kind of classes Prof Brintlinger teaches. Fantastic.

Very enthusiastic. Goes off on a lot of tangents without meaning to. A little scatter brained but knowledgeable and gets most of the information out. Only tests on what she has covered. Hard to follow sometimes.

Very enthusiastic and kind. Get on her good side early on and you will notice you have her favor in class discussion and on tests. She made the final optional and presented everyone their grade prior so they could weigh their options. Highly recommended.

Good instructor, enthusiastic, however if she really really likes you and your analytical thoughts in class and what you bring to discussion and you miss class due to legitimate reasons, she berates you heavily for it. Analytical people, beware.

I really enjoyed the class. It shows that Angela is very enthusiastic. She does give a lot of reading however, but I didn't think it was hard to keep up. Most of the class is discussion based, with 3-4 short essays, and a final.

I read these comments before taking the class, and was expecting someone entirely different...she was very insightful and I received better grades on papers every time than I normally do in other literature classes. I didn't even do all of the reading.

The class was hard, but she was a big help during office hours and I saw big improvement between my first and second exam. Going to every lecture is essential; she gives out extra credit on exams based mostly on things she mentioned in class. I would recommend her, but only if you can keep up with the reading.

Pedantic and condescending. What else can I say? Don't ask her for any help with papers because you will have to write exactly what she wants. Just avoid.
