She graded too harsh and ask for a lot, it was intense. Usually online classes gives you the full credit if you do the work she grades you out of 100. 2 page papers and it's type in single spaced. expectations were way too high for a 100 level class. 5 paged research paper at the end of the course and be ready to type what your paper will be on.

There are two 7 page papers and for the final there is a 15 page paper. No tests or quizzes which was nice. Overall this class was a lot of work but if you're interested in immigration I really recommend it. Professor Chung was nice and clearly passionate about what she was teaching

Prof Chung is a great professor. She is really passionate about what she is teaching and is extremely hands on - this means there will be a lot of group assignments or in class material that will be assigned. The class was easy, but she definitely makes you work hard for the grade you want. Overall, I enjoyed her teaching!

I liked the teacher. She was really nice and easy to talk to. She always got back to me right away. It is a writing intensive course, but there are only three papers. They are long though. You can tell she is passionate about what she is teaching. I was interested in what she had to say. The lectures can sometimes be a little boring however.

Prof. Chung is lovely but the class was definitely not for me. The material is very interesting but it can be taken from many points of view, in tests she only asks for a certain opinion which doesn't apply to me. Thankfully, she curves the grades amazingly so it's not too bad. It's still a fun class and she randomly takes attendance.

This class was my favorite all semester, Her class is basically common sense, there's 3 exams and 5 extra credit quizzes that are from the reading due that day, I got 2 of the extra credits and never even open the book. the key to passing her class is taking detailed notes and filling out the study guide, only bad thing is her co-teacher Joe sucks!

Not worth it. Don't take the class with her. She complicates things. I had to put more effort in this class than my 200/300 level classes. Take it with Mack instead, I know she's teaching it Spring 2011.

This lady went to harvard and forgot that not all college students have the same IQ she does...Suggest you stay away unless you were a transfer from HARVARD...I needed to boost my GPA and I asked her to be considerate of that...So on the test that was graded extremely hard every time she gave us an extra 2pts. with our failing grades lol..

Overall she's an extremely educated womon who knows her stuff. She really teaches the material so you know it, and if you don't she's very good with answering questions. The tests were very difficult but were curved thankfully. You definetly have to take notes and study the text book.

Really interesting class, a lot of readings but they go fast. As long as you take the notes in class and even just skim the book you'll do good on the tests. Curved grades really helps too, she has high expectations but realizes we still need some help. Gives review sheets that have EVERYTHING you need for tests.

not a nice person, thinks she's better than you. was available for extra help but then got annoyed when you didn't know the answers to the questions you asked her. she never knew about the material her TA covered. be prepared to have to memorize 26 essays for final and then only have to write 3 on the actual test.

i got and A but i think it's because i took notes and read the text book. a lot of readings, the extra credit quizzes are impossible, it's not worth it. she gives a review sheet before each test which gives you EXACTLY what's going to be on the test... DO THE REVIEW SHEET and you're gaurenteed atleast an A- on the tests. curved the tests.

you really have to do the readings and pay attention in class. if you don't want to work extremely hard then DO NOT take her. tests were really hard too. she would give a guide with 20 dif essays and only 3 on the test. too much work for a class that has easy content. she makes it more difficult than it needs to be.

A very challenging professor, though she will offer many opportunities to become engaged in the class. Your participation and enthusiasm play a big part in how useful her lectures are to you. She seems quite knowledgable about her field which is very helpful if you require help or information about anything that might be unclear. Not for slackers.

Yeah...this class could have been interesting...but she just didn't seem to know how to teach it in such a way. No class discussions, which is a bummer considering some of the material. I'm not going to say don't take her, but there are better choices if you can avoid her.
