The lecture was discussion based, but the exams were almost entirely from the textbook (which she doesn't teach in class). The study guides are unhelpful and contain incorrect information. However, the discussions, guest speakers, and documentaries that we watched were awesome. If it weren't for the exams and papers, I would have loved this class.

Dr Rogers is an extremely helpful professor. She was my undergrad advisor and helped me see I could go part time a senior year, saving me $3000+. She is accommodating of something comes up and is very encouraging. She doesn't hand out A's but her lectures & classes are interesting enough that you will learn if you go. HIGHLY recommended.

Dr.Rogers is a very very interesting person and teacher!! She gives great lectures- if you like sociology and social work a lot. She is really knowledgable and fun, I learned a lot!! The class is a bit tough though with the papers, and there is some CD Exercises, aka Busy Work.

Rogers is good overall but required way too much work (reading and writing) for a 3 credit course. Could have lectured more in class. I learned a lot from her, though. She is very passionate about SW and really very nice. She tries hard to get her students to think about important social issues.

Dr. Rogers is a nice enough lady, but she is incredibly bias. She is SUPER liberal and a very enthusiastic feminist and she doesn't hide it. The class (Human Behavior) is interesting, but she grades way too hard and does nothing to prepare you for exams.

I took a human sexuality class from Dr. Rogers, and it was a great experience, but I definately felt that it was a class geared towards women and not men, which was not mentioned in the course description.

This course is challenging. Rogers is knowledgable aobut topics but requires a lot from students. Huge research project and weekly reading of about 50pgs from chapter. At other Universities this course covers 3 semesters so that explains how much more UP covers.
