Maxwell is an amazing teacher. I worked hard for an A in this class and she helped me all along the way, and was always happy to help. If you are taking a calculs class expect to do every HW question assigned to get an A on the tests. She's been doing this for awhile, she knows that hw questions will help and has assigned them for a reason.

Comment:

Professor Maxwell is an amazing teacher! She really wants her students to understand the material and welcomes your questions. She is a picky grader, so write out all of your steps on the tests to get the most credit. Curves tests. Homework is optional. She really made the class fun and applicable to real life. Take her class!

Comment:

I took her Calculus 3B class after failing it the previous semester. Never have I had a teacher who made math so understandable. She's a very bubbly person, always smiling and laughing. It's obvious she loves her job, and her enthusiasm for both calculus and statics is infectious. I would definitely recommend Mrs. Maxwell to anybody!

Ms. Maxwell is hands down the best professor I've ever taken at Shasta College. She's funny and cares about her students. Not only is she caring, she's also an amazing instructor and I learned an insane amount from her. She goes fast though, but if you go to class and do your homework you'll be fine. Really amazing person.

Comment:

Professor Maxwell was a really great teacher. She loves teaching, and she loves math. Instead of extra credit she allowed 1 drop test which was nice for if you are having a bad week or a particular chapter just doesn't sink in. The homework was not mandatory which was great because I could focus on doing well on the tests rather than homework.

Maxwell was an amazing teacher! Can use calculators, un-gradednot mandatory homework and you get a note card for every test even the final! She does only grade on test and there are a few quizzes but for the most part the test were easy and she makes it easy to grasp the concept of pretty much any problem, highly recommend her!

I had her for statics and I didn't think that she was very good. The biggest problem was that she didn't spend any time talking about the concepts or key points of the class. Every day was the same; she would blitz through problems as fast as she possibly could in a way that made it seem like she was trying to show off rather than teach.

Maxwell is the best teacher I've had at Shasta. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about calculus, she's a little bit of an oddball but I think that's part of why I like her so much. However, be prepared to put in long hours studying and doing homework for Math 3b especially. She's one of the best teachers around though!

Outstanding teacher. Over the top helpful. Had her for calc 3b and statics. Fast lectures, but clear and useful. She is completely fair with grading and loves to give students the "best" methods for solving tricky things. Take this teacher you will NOT regret it. Best teacher at shasta.

She is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. Her explanations of concepts are very thorough and well adequately prepare you for her tests, but she goes fast so make sure to write fast. Also one of the nicest professors I've ever had.

Mrs. Maxwell is an excellent teacher. She is kind, clear, and helpful, and I liked that the homework was optional. However, she goes extremely fast and gives no ways to earn credit other than exams and attendance, putting extra pressure on those with test anxiety.

Mrs. Maxwell is an extremely helpful teacher. She accepted me as tenth on the wait list and gave me a chance to take a class Math 102 as a class that I really needed. She was nothing but supportive to all of her students and extremely flexible as well. She is not only knowledgeable, but really cares about the student and will do her best to help.

Had Maxwell for Math3B, statics, and engr. graphics- one of my favorite teachers. She moves fast, but clearly, and was always there to help. With these classes you have to put in time and effort to succeed, but its worth it! In my top 3 list of college professors, I would highly recommend her!

Condescending impatient canine attitude unless you are an arrogant sheltered (male) child of privilege who spews about Jesus and thinks that Sara Palin is smart (reminds her of her sons, I assume.) Her type is hypocritical- appearance valued, but not in a funny Tammy Faye kind of way. I wish that I had been able to take the class with Berrisso.

Mrs. Maxwell is one of the best teachers alive, shes super nice as a person, super clear on the subject taught, and always stops to help anyone who doesn't understand something. the subject itself was difficult, not the teacher. if i take another math class EVER, i won't take it unless she's up front teaching it.
