She is simply the best marketing professor, and her lectures are awesome. You get involved in her lectures, won't fall asleep, so definitely not boring like other marketing professors. Truly follow her lectures, take lots of notes, read the book, participate a lot, really try to understand the concepts, instead of just touching base.

Make sure you pick group mates that you know will produce good work. Almost every week you will have a part of a group project due. Shes great as a teacher and explains clearly the objectives and sticks to them.

Participation is definitely a bonus. Anju is really friendly and tries really hard to connect with students. At times, it can be a bit awkward, but in general it's really sweet. As a professor, she's clear and easy to understand. Workload is manageable, tests are quite easy, groupwork is useful and excessive.

Comment:

Participation gets you bonus points and helps you understand the class. The content of the lectures are really interesting and Anju has many examples that are useful. You will be working a lot with a group so choose partners that will at least split the work with you. Overall, the course was very fun and had a lot of interesting information.

I greatly enjoyed this professor's teaching style. She is an excellent professor who really cares about her students. She is very knowledgeable in all aspects of marketing. I learned a lot from her class. My favorite aspect of her class was the focus on class participation. By actively participating, I was better able to learn the material.

Comment:

Most people find this class boring, but I enjoyed learning about the subject so I may be a bit bias. Basically it's structured so that if you participate you can get through the class with a decent grade, but if you try a bit harder you can take away a lot from the course. Warning: Work load increases exponentially until it peaks end of semester.

This class is boring and mostly covers fairly obvious concepts. Don't bother reading the textbook, it isn't necessary. You don't need to go to class everyday, but if you skip class check with a friend who went to class, because professor Sethi likes to give random assignments.

This is not a class I would recommend. Slowly you realize how few resources she gives you, her disorganization and apparent lack of purpose with her lectures, and her absolute refusal to return any of your work apart from allowing you to see your test grades once. A terrible teacher overall unless you don't want to know your grade until its over.

Agree, grading is messed up. She also does not let students keep their tests...weird. Not a useful course, would not recommend. Professor did not teach usefull information and was poor at presenting ideas, her husband is much better!!!
