Very friendly, very willing to help. He truly just wants to see his students succeed. The content is not always very interesting and his lectures can be a little dry, but it's hard not to like the guy. Assignments are easy enough and prepare you directly for the exams. Midterm and final were manageable. Definitely a guy to take.

NO idea what the kids before me are talking about, because it doesn?t sound anything close to what I experienced. Prof Zhang is extremely considerate of students, passionate about tlog, and tries his best to keep his classes engaging. He draws in many real-life examples, has an interesting sense of humour, and exams/assignments are very fair!

VERY UNCLEAR. his midterms and exams are very unclear and he has a very high expectation that exceeds beyond his lectures and the textbook. if you don't have the exact answer that he is looking for then you get no mark or 4/20. hands out material, expects you to know it, & guest lecture no good.

No one understand what he is talking about in the class. He just give out readings and expect us to know it for the exams without him even explaining it to us. The questions on the midterm are very unclear and hard; midterm had to be scale up by 10% afterwards.
