Dr. Cali is a wonderful professor & person. She is very relatable and charismatic. Grading this semester was based on 2 lecture exams (35% each), 2 lab exams (10% each), and one paper/powerpoint (5%). Buy the book (10$ on Amazon) and study for the exams out of the book. Pay attention to the summary at the end of each chapter (exams based on this).

She is by far the smartest professor I have ever taken in college. She is funny, and you learn almost as much from her stories of her life than you do from her actually lectures. You will learn so much from her, esp in animal parasites. She will make you study, but if you're not ready to study then you should be ashamed to call yourself a bio major

Tough class, but you may have to take it in order to graduate. She is actually very nice and easy to understand. The life cycles get tricky, but she does a good job of making them simple. 2 short reaction papers fulfill the WI part, very easy. 4 exams, each increasing in difficulty. I did not take the lab but I heard it was easy from my peers.

For Microanatomy, be prepared to work your but off because none of her exams are multiple choice and questions in the exam are unclear. The TA makes everything difficult since she grades the exams. Take this class at will. There are 2 exams each worth 25%, Lab worth 25%, and the final worth 25%. Do not recommend taking this course.

Her tests are SUPPPPPERRR HARD. She if very knowledgable and clear. However does not care about the students at all. Im one of two people i know who got a D in her class while having her know that it was the only class needed for gradutation. I could have easily been bumped to a C given that there was some arbitrary grades given or so it seemed.

Reading the book is absolutely mandatory if you want to do well. Write down EVERYTHING she says in class especially what she repeats over and over.know how to spell organisms names!!exams are difficult! she doesn't give them back because she uses the same ones over and over. her grading is beyond me, handwork but you learn ALOT

Taking this class was the dumbest thing I've done in my academic life. The first 2 sections are cake. The 3rd and 4th are when you start to see how disorganized her thoughts are - jumps from one thing to another and another and back. My notes are all over the place and there are ALOT of notes. It's still a mystery to me as to how she grades.
