Prof. K was fine in class, very tough but if you put in the effort you would do fine. Outside of class she was extremely rude to me, talked down to me when I asked for help, and even told me to consider a career that didn't involve secondary education. I graduated with my M.D/Ph.D a few years ago so I guess she was wrong...

This professor does not know how to explain even the most basic of concepts. She is impossible to follow, comes off like she does not know what she is talking about, and sitting through lecture is excruciating. She does not understand what students are asking and therefore is impossible to get help from. Taking her is one of my biggest regrets..

Dr. K is a very demanding and difficult professor. She demands a lot of outside-class time to spend in office hours. She grades unfairly and has unreachable expectations for students. She does not help make her research interesting to students who aren't immediately enthused by it. I would not recommend her for Bio 580.
