Comment:

Professor Whyte is an engaging teacher in my opinion. She works through a lot of examples to make sure you really understand the material. Textbook is not needed for this class only the workbook. Really make sure you buy and follow along in the workbook as this is the key source in passing this class. I took this class before reduced seat time.

amazing professor, actually show up to class, and take good notes. go to her office hours if you need help, esp on Bloomberg project. Negative reviews are people who don't go to class and fail. Avgs. on exams in my class were around 85%... you can do it.

OMG she was easy... Everyone who is saying she was hard basically never watched her lecture or do the Quiz... SHE IS THE EASIEST U WILL EVER GET... Buy the Note taking guide or print it out and do the problems

Watch lectures online so you can pause/rewind for notes. She DOES put the formulas on the exam which is super helpful but most of them you can do on the calculator anyway. Learn from my mistakes and KNOW HOW TO FIND EPS in every way! The actual exams are much more in depth then the reviews but the traditional quiz Q's are seen in exam Q's.

I personally did not dislike her as a professor, but her tests are fairly difficult in comparison to many other primary core business classes. I bought the text book and decided to read it instead of the lectures and don't regret it.

Lectures cover a lot of material, but you really only learn how to solve problems with a calculator. Don't really learn the "why" for solving them. Problems taught during lecture are either really easy or difficult, which doesn't correlate to exam. Must teach yourself by doing problems over and over again for hours. Exams are basically the grade.

Professor Whyte's class was alright. The tests came from mix of things, but I feel like doing the traditional quizzes over and over helped me the most. Homework is an easy 100% as are the quizzes because you can do them as many times as you want. Her tests were pretty tough, but they are manageable. She ended up curving the class, so that was nice.

The practice review NEVER correlated to what would actually be on the test. She threw so much material at us at once and then gave a question 2x as challenging on the test so even if you aced hw's and reviewed, no use. Plus everyones test was different so you never knew what you would get. We got ONE bonus question to help with our grade. Wow thx

She's a nice person but she speaks slowly but somehow manages to rush through materials, she changed the wording of her grading policy a couple days before the final exam and was very stubborn about it. Her exam reviews are taught by her TA's that get very flustered in front of the class and the reviews are way more simple than the actual exams.

Let me just say I got an A but did not learn a single thing. You learn how to use a calculator. That's it. MyLab and note taking guide are worthless. She rushes through chapters. If the class is confused she gets irritated fast. Her lectures seem like reviews because they are rushed and summarized. She assumes everyone instantly understands.

This class is easy if you do what she tells you to do. You don't need to read the book, but actually do the practice problem and take the traditional quizzes more than once. Her tests are straightforward if you take the time to understand the material. Don't make the mistake of thinking you can just pass by watching lectures last minute.

Your exams are 80% of your grade and 20 questions total so get ready to study and study a lot for those exams. She is good at explaining, and telling you ho to use the calculator. Her test are somewhat difficult. But she is a good professor and you will learn. An A is not that hard to get but you have to work and work for it.

Its a great course, full of informative things. However, the tests are difficult- especially the comprehensive part. You definitely need to study hard outside of regular class hours. If taking her, make sure you dig through the ins and outs of the subject, do not just go off of what she taught, its more extensive and difficult than that.

The class itself is intensive, Dr. Whyte does a very fair job on the structure and the grading of her test. She provides all the needed materials for anyone to get an A in her class.

Very technical class. It was fine for the most part. Wasn't the best at explaining conceptual material, but was great at giving input on how to actually work through problems. If you're not math heavy, you'll probably love her. Biggest issue, practice quizes and HW don't open until like a week before tests. I ended up having to cram a lot.

Definitely isn't an easy course but she gives you all the resources you need to pass.
