Dr. Matonis is tough. If you're looking for easy, keep looking. I took two classes with her years ago. She asked about other classes I was taking - she was not too impressed. The advice she gave me stayed, "Make sure that they teach you. You're paying them." I became a better advocate for my education, and a professional writer. Thanks Dr. Matonis!

One of the best professors of my undergraduate career. Took her Medieval Celtic Lit class in 1983. A true scholar and able to make the medieval world live in the classroom.

The only reason I passed this class was because she scared me into working really hard. In fact, I got an A in her course, because she scared me into writing as well as I possibly could. Fright is a strange yet effective pedagogical approach. See Catholic School.

made the mistake of having her for 2 classes in 1 semester. Shakespeare & Arthurian Lit. looked down on us the entire time. Was too good for Temple mentality. Of class of 30, 10 were left by the end, half failing. Only cared about her house in Scotland.
