Grading style: 3 online tests 20%, midterm & final 50%, labs 20%, & participation/discussion board 10%. Tests are mostly list & characterize questions, timed 1 hr. 10 min, 32 to 46 problems. Memorize Geological Time Scale for midterm & final. Study hard, pass the tests, don't try so hard on labs & discussion board & you'll be fine. Good luck.

Comment:

Dr. Anna is one of the best professors to take for science classes. Her lectures are fun and interactive and your class basically all becomes friends. There's a few fieldtrips to go on. Her tests are pretty straightforward and easy. Also, she gives extra credit on each one so that really helps your grade out. Dr. Anna is the best!

Her distance learning class is amazing. She has videos for each unit; it was like you were sitting in class. She put together a lab kit which is checked our from the library. You do not have to pay anything after tuition. Tests and exercises are not that hard. You need to take the midterm and final at the learning center.

Dr. Anna is amazing! She made geology extremely fun and interesting. She makes the lectures very entertaining and funny with her relationship advice and stories from Hungary. Getting an A in the class is a HIGH possibility because she allows extra credit at the end of the test. Just make sure you study the rocks and minerals, and you'll be golden.

Dr. Anna really made geology a fun course. The class was super close with each other and it was a comfortable and friendly learning environment. Her tests can be very hard, but she lets you write everything you learned on the back of the test and counts it as extra credit. If you put the time and effort into the class, an A is easy to achieve.

She's an amazing professor who shows her love for Geology. I have enjoyed her teaching style and her kindness. She's very helpful and makes sure you understand the material. BUT you need to put a lot of effort into this class , lots of studying is required and participation is key. I would take her all over again though!!

Its the second semester that I take Dr Anna class on Geology. I really think she does a magnificent work on all areas of her teaching. The structure of the course and the clarity of the assignment is easy to follow. Higlhy recomended.

I am not into science at all but it was a cool class. We didn't use our book at all and she would print out our notes. As long as you come to class and lab, do the study guides (which usually don't take long) and just give your time to study the guides.. You will get an A. Its not real difficult.. But be prepared to work.. Remember this is college.

Dr. Anna is the most amazing teacher at Virginia Western. She is respected by her students and her class is not a "free ride." Need help? You have to speak up! She will not help unless you ask her. You also have to be there for class or you will fail.. period. Her tests are fairly easy, you most definitely have to study. Dr. Anna is truly amazing .

Dr. Anna is super energetic and ready to teach--- about Hungary. While she is really knowledgeable in her field, her lectures are all over the place. There's no such thing as order in this class. Take her class if you're not super serious about geology though. Her tests are tough but she gives TONS of extra credit.

Dr. Anna gives a lot of work, but it is necessary to pass this class. She is straight forward but she is not a harsh lecturer. She is one of few professors that can make geology fun! She is very passionate about teaching! I love Dr. Anna and I recommend her to anyone taking a science class she offers!

Dr. Anna is such a sweet person. If you ask for help, she will help you. If you don't talk the whole time and try to participate, you will do fine. She is Hungarian, so sometimes her accent is hard to understand, but you'll get used to it. She's hilarious and tries to make the class easy. Definitely taking her for historical geology, too.

She's sometimes hard to understand, but she will repeat anything you need her to. She posts reviews where only some of it is on the test. There is a midterm and final that are cumulative. Show her respect and she'll respect you. She likes to ask a lot of personal questions. Don't go in here expecting an easy A. Put forth an effort. Show up to class
