I've taken two classes with Hester and didn't enjoy either of them. She would often talk down and snap at students but then question why no one wanted to answer her questions. Overall though, I did find Hester knowledgeable and the classes interesting.

Dr. Hester is very interesting. She is a retired psychologist and knows her stuff. She gives you extra credit for coming to class and some extra points for side projects. She tells many stories about past patients which makes the class interesting. If you are into psych this is a good intro class.

Completely unfair grading. Although I did relatively well, I was completely unsatisfied with the way Dr. Hester treated the class- she talked down to us and gave us unreasonable expectations for assignments, projects and tests. If you dont HAVE to take her class, do yourself a favor and dont.

Dr. Hester may seem intimidating at first but she is probably one of the most approachable and helpful teachers you will run into. She always offers ways to raise your grade. If you go to class and do the work her classes shouldn't be all that bad. You will also learn a lot from her. She is really intelligent and knowledgable in psychology.

Mrs. Hester is a wonderful professor. She tells great stories and gives hilarious demonstrations. I actually enjoy waking early to go to psyc. She is by far the best professor at Penn State Hazleton! GIVE THIS WOMAN A MEDAL!!
