What a horrible class, and poor professor. Nice woman, horrible at teaching and working with students. Not a person in that class knew what was going on. Dr. Maine needs to understand the difference between a 100 level bio course people are taking for a GEC and a 300 level bio class for people with a natural talent for bio and infinite time to kill

Her disorganization and spiteful comments in the classroom discourage participation and are so extremely rude. I have been mocked in the classroom as well as berated in front of fellow students for her own mistake. She violates faculty guidelines by not providing a calendar. I will be reporting this violation as well as other things after finals.

Professor Maine teaches a course called BIO 105, I repeat 105, and she teaches it as though it were a 300 level course riddled with ridiculous exams and debate papers. To add to this, she fails to give you a proper syllabus, and instead adds things to Moodle as they come, usually a week or so before the due date. DO NOT take her class. DO NOT.

She's a nice person but her class is ridiculously hard for no reason, especially for a 100-level class. She assigns too much work and is a picky grader. Would not recommend taking a class with her as it will probably cause you copious amounts of stress as well as ruin your GPA. (if you do take a class with her, take it pass/fail).

She likes to see you suffer. She is not understanding at all. She sometimes does not explain her directions clearly. She "claims" to have minored in English, so she grades you super hard on grammar. However, she has so many typos on her own presentations. Classic Maine.

I'm interested in biology & nutrition, but took this class solely to meet my science requirement. She can be nice & friendly, but the amount of work is ridiculous, especially for a 100 level course. I've had to pull multiple all-nighters to study for tests & finish projects/papers. Honestly, she sucks. Takes 100 classes way too seriously. Stay away

This class was by far interesting. Tests can be difficult. They require you to know every single detail on the study guides. She is really nice and goofy. Just make sure you take really good notes. Hand in your stuff on time and participate and ask questions. She is there to help you, so use her help.

First year teaching this class, so tests are impossible. Wants very precise answers!! Earning good marks on the responses to the primary articles is very easy if you're a decent writer. She has a degree in English, so watch out if you're not the best at grammar. Very nice and likes to have fun in class as long as it doesn't get out of control.
