Great teacher and puts in a lot of work. Usually her notes and ALEKS assignments are harder than the exam. ALEKS can be annoying but its worth more than your final so it really helps your grade. Her lab reports are kind of difficult but the class overall is easy.

2 different homework assignments, on top of lab every week, but it was alright with the book. Takes points for sig figs on tests, and while she gave good review (take-home and in class reviews) she did not tell us how some equations would be set up. Likes her animations in class.

Really enjoyed chemistry with Dr. Nickel, she knew what she was talking about and you could tell that she enjoyed talking about the subject matter. Her lab write ups were pretty easy and did not take that much time. When you put two nickels together you get a dime.

Dr Nickel really knows her Chemistry stuff. Lectures were great and easy to follow. Weekly quizzes every Monday except for week 4 and 8 which were the two exams. LearnSmarts due every Monday as well as the online homework. Labs were easy, only one formal report, and several group reports. Would recommend and take again!

Dr. Nickel is one of the best professors I've ever had in any subject. Chemistry is my weakest subject, and I will either have an A or A/B at the end of CH201. She makes chemistry actually makes sense and she really cares about her students. Take her if you can. It is worth having to take an 8:00 AM class.

FANTABULOUS professor!! She explained the material very well and the pace was tailored to class needs instead of requirements. Lots of homework but not too hard. If you understand the homework you'll do great on the weekly quizzes/exams.

Prof Nickel is probably my favorite prof I've had. She does everything in her power to make sure you understand the class content. For lab reports, she gives you a rubric of what she expects; I never got less than a 14/15 for informal ones and a 37/40 for formal ones. Do the work for the class & ask for help if you need it and you'll be just fine.

Given how bad I am at Chemistry, I learned a LOT from Professor Nickel. Only problems I had were due to my own inability to understand certain topics (*coughcough pH calculations*). In the unlikely event I take any more Chem classes, I'd take Nickel again!

Nickel is amazing. Very dynamic in lectures, if you are doing poorly she will go the extra mile to help you pass through one-on-one tutoring. Doesn't just lecture, actually performs experiments right there in class or has you build models of the structures. Teaches to all learning styles at the same time in just about every lecture. She gets it.

She is nice but can NOT answer any questions at all. All you hear is: "i guess" or "i think" or "could be".... A person who has no idea of anything else besides their own slides should NOT be called a professor! This whole class is just a waste oft time.

Dr. Nickel is a great professor! She will drive the information into your head. She is also very helpful and accessible. In addition, her turnaround time for tests and quizzes is UNREAL. She had the finals corrected the night after we took them. Take her class if you have the chance!
