this course is considered to be a "easy" 1st half portion of the physics course given during 1st year courses. If you taken PHYS 1410/20 before, you are guaranteed a A for sure!

She's a very fair prof in terms of her midterms and final exam. I was extremely scared for this course but she did a good job of explaining things. Her recordings helped me more than going to lecture. Just make sure to do all the textbook questions and you are guaranteed a good mark

Anne is a great prof. Dont get why people rate her so bad. I had absolutely zero background in physics, didnt take it in hs and she explained things clearly and I ended with a B. If you want to do well in biotech, do textbook questions and just a bunch of practice questions. Shes a nice lady. Bad ratings are just haters m8

There are two points to consider: 1. the most difficult questions in the exams come from the online quizzes of the textbook (5 edition for the 3000 level course). The link to the online quizzes can be found at the beginning of the textbook. 2. A lot of people defer the exams, so they can talk during the test, the TA does not care that much.

Overall this class is fair if you keep up with the homework and do it as you go along. Not the biggest fan of her attitude at times. The final is considerably harder than the midterms so do take that seriously and prepare well in advance.

She's a decent prof when it comes to concepts and explaining terms, however that isn't what we are tested on. She barely does practice problems and as someone with no background in physics, i found it extremely difficult to teach myself. I wish the textbook came with solutions instead of just answers because the textbook was actually pretty useful

Does not teach anything in class, and when she does, she jumbles up her words and is difficult to follow along. This is a self-learn course and can be quite difficult if you do not have a strong background in physics.

Will need a strong background in physics to do well in class. She does an extremely poor job of teaching concepts. She confuses not only the students, but herself as well. Online resources are beneficial. Would recommend Youtube videos for self teaching. Unrealistic expectations for content on midterms. Unsure of what she is getting paid to do.

Biomechanics is easy course if you do all of the textbook problems and do all of the solved problems stated in the lectures. The midterms consists mostly of application based questions with very few questions on theory. The final exam is MOSTLY thinking based (very different from a typical exam), so try aim to for a high mark before the final exam.

Do the textbook and keep up with lectures. Studying with a buddy really helps. Try to understand and solve all the questions in the textbook and keep up-to-date with the lectures. labs are a bit tricky but fine once you get used to them. She bell-curves a little bit so that really helps. The final isn't so bad if you make notes by yourself.

Pretty decent overall. You really have to pull in your weight and do the practice problems from the textbook on your own. Moore makes a point of going through the more confusing problems during class. If you've done Grade 11 physics, you'll get an easy A+.

Prof Moore isn't bad, I find the problem is within the course. For people without any background of physics (like myself) it can be difficult; I spent much of the semester trying to grasp concepts that had I understood going into the course, I would have done better. Physics should be a prereq Also, midterms easier than expected, final much harder

Great prof and course, although her final is nothing like her midterms. and it is weighted wayyyyy too much. i have no background in physics i had an A+ going into the final and came out with a B+

Dude, that final was a nightmare. Went into the final with an A+ and came out with an A. Know torque inside and out. Eat torque. Sleep with torque. Shower torque. Live and breath torque - that's all the final is on.

I had no background in physics, and had a pretty loaded semester when I took this. I went to PASS sessions and did all the textbook questions. Whenever I had a question from lecture or the textbook, she would explain it after class, and never rushed anyone out if the answer took long. She even had tutorials to further help answer questions.

She's a pretty good prof. Labs were really annoying but tests are seriously easy if you've taken even grade 11 physics. It is all projectile motion based, physics easiest branch by far. Everyone else here is being a bit ridiculous and just expect her to spoon feed them, but physics needs practice. As long as you do the practice q's you'll be fine.
