hard to keep up when taking notes, especially in the beginning. really knowledgable on chinese history (her focus) but a bit "stiff sounding" in lectures (i had her team-teaching with borus, so i had a contrast from day to day). kind of bitter and condescending towards the class sometimes.

Interesting material, but I thought her lectures were too rehearsed and dry. I had her in her first semester teaching though, so she may have gotten better. She is a nice person and very knowledgable about China.
