Professor Miketta is very helpful, informative, and grades fairly. The class has 2 exams (1 midterm & 1 final). 3 main projects, important you come to class so you can run the through the steps with him. If you don't come to class, you will fall behind, so use the time valuably. He gives out many extra credit opportunities. Take notes to ace exam

He is my favorite professor at GCC. I knew nothing about computers going into the class. He is very clear when teaching and you do the majority of the projects in class together which is easy. He gives you very detailed step-by-step instructions on how to do the projects. We had 1 midterm and a final which was all written exams. Easy grader!

Professor Miketta was one of my favorite Professors. His assignments are clear, but definitely make you think! You won't pass if you don't do the work, but his deadlines are generous for the assignments. He's always willing to answer any questions you have to so don't be afraid to ask!

Knew nothing about CS/IS before taking this class. I took his online class and I started out slow, got Bs and Cs on the first few projects and HWs. He answers any questions you have and pretty soon, I was getting all As on the assignments and learned a lot. He gives step-by-step instructions. All you have to do is get started on the projects early.

Very patient guy, answers all questions thoroughly. Barely any hw. You have big projects that he does with you in class! Fav part is that he links your future. You create a website about you &your future -cost of sch you transfer to, future earnings, etc. Offers extra credit on things that benefit you like workshops or a getting an S.E.P.

He gives too many projects and his not a fare grader. He tells you to attend a class for extra credit then you realize that you have to attend second class to receive your credits its a scam. Quizzes are depressing. I wouldn't recommend him at all.

very annoying , he will give you project with 6 -8 pages of instructions and many videos to follow then he will show up in class and tell you that some instructions are old and he wants you to do it differently and If you miss tinny little item he will take 5 or 10 point out of 100. quizzes very hard Open book even if you get help you wont get 100

The class was not difficult. Make sure to complete all the reading and practice questions for each chapter. Participation in weekly discussions is mandatory, so make sure to provide decent feedback for the questions he posts each week. I also recommend taking Professor Miketta for CS/IS 101 too.

Professor Miketta is a really great professor. I learned a lot in this class. We had to do projects which were not difficult at all and watch online lecture videos. He is a very fair grader if you put in the work. You have to create a website for this class. Make sure to add plenty of notes on your webpage to do good on the quizzes and final.

The Best! Several assignments and projects however Brett makes it extremely easy for anyone to pass. Directions are given to you step by step and if you don't stay on top of everything it can get overwhelming. Just do everything before the due date and you'll be fine. Stay on top of your "notes page" and there should be 0 problems on the final.

Where should I start.. this teacher is AWESOME! He really cares about his students and makes sure that everyone understands the material. If someone does not understand it, he takes the time to help you out. He even goes out of his way when he is at home not getting paid to help. Although the comp lab wasn't finished, i am going to still stop in!!
