Comment:

I enjoyed the class, especially given that I am an art major and painting is my focus. Overall she can be helpful, and the projects can be very open to interpretation. My only issue with her was grading. I felt like she graded on a whim, and my paining class should not drop my GPA as a double major putting in tons of outside work for the class.

I like to paint but didn't know the correct techniques. I def. learned them in this class. the classes are long, but listen to your iPod. she is very helpful if you ask questions. just use the techniques she explains and you can always work on your painting after she grades them to get an even higher grade. don't take this class if you can't paint

Ugh, very narrow- minded and opinionated. She grades on the basis of her OPINION, and not your effort. It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get a good grade in this class- sometimes it seems like she's purposely looking for things to criticize you on. Very passive agressive and has TONS of mood swings. She made me hate painting.

Very discouraging and close-minded. Never really open to your ideas and grades on opinion. Doesn't enjoy your art unless it relates well to the work of her own. Don't take this class unless you like being told what to do in small guidelines. I also found the class boring. I love art over any subject, and this was my least favorite class.

Her comments and suggestions in class are extraneous, few, and often absurd. If she doesnt find your work aesthetically "pleasing" or in accordance with her own style she has a hard time grading it objectively.

I was very disappointed with this class. I wanted to learn how to paint (it is paint I after all) but she was not helpful at all. She didn't teach anything the whole year, she would only tell you what to paint and let you go. Definitely try to find another teacher or class!!!
