Lots of reading, a weekly journal, and three papers are expected in this class. On the other hand it is a LIT class, so that's pretty normal. Exams are easy enough if you've done the reading. Lectures can be boring, but if you participate and hand in your assignments she lets you slide on the attendance policy.

Very nice person knows what shes teaching right down to the very letter but, is an extremely hard grader gives essays weekly and exams are crazy. for a full time student think twice before taking her class for someone that is only taking two classes at most perfect for you overall i strongly dont recommend it. Extremely time consuming...

This was an extraordinary class. Don't take it if you are not committed to reading and writing because you will be doing this a lot. The professor is an extremely smart lady who knows everything about Literature. She respects everything you say or write, but she challenges you, she wants to promote your critical thinking. It is a high level class.

She doesn't respect your opinion. She wants you to accept her opinion. Her class discussions go nowhere because she can't hear you or will not respect your opinion. Yeah she's very passionate, but has random angry episodes. She can't keep up with her own syllabus either.

Very hard class, be ready to write a lot. and i mean it. there is a paper due every week. She is a tough grader also, but at the same time very nice old lady with a lot of experience.

passionate and knowledgeable about her subject matter, but goes off on strange tangents and its very hard to figure out which parts will be on the exam. Can't keep up with her own syllabus and really needs a hearing aid. Overall unfocused lectures...really ruined a semester of literature for me. If you actually like lit. I wouldn't recommend her.

This lady obviously has a passion for what she does. However you have to really put in a lot of effort to understand what conclusions she wants you to arrive at. She is a no nonsense type of lady... Good luck if you have her!

She is a very nice older woman. She sometimes has a hard time hearing, so if you want to add to the class discussion, SPEAK UP!!! She will tell you numerous times, "you're not speaking to me, you're speaking TO THE CLASS"
