Dont take him if you dont have to. No clear guideline on midterms and finals. The study guide does not cover everything. Expects you to know everything even if it is not covered from his lectures. Doesnt teach well and expects you to know the technology based side of class. Always there in his office hours and very long line.

Make sure you show up to class and actually pay attention if you want a good grade. Definitely recommend going to his office hours frequently. Tests are hard and if you don't follow his instructions completely on the group or individual papers, you won't get a good score. Refuses to offer extra credit even though everyone struggles in his class.

Really nice professor. Always there in his office hours. Prepare to wait in line. Tests are pretty much hard, nothing to study off of. Don't recommend taking him. Don't take him unless you have to. Have 5 assignments in class.

He is very nice man and humorous. However, his instructions for everything (quizzes, tests, projects, homework) are unclear and can be interpreted many ways. You will not receive credit for not interpreted things the way he understood it in his head. He is accessible and has generous office hours. Be prepared to wait in line.

Fantastic professor that really wants his students to learn. He is more than happy to help you whenever he can, in or out of class. You'll have to earn your A but you'll learn a ton about the material in the process

Dr. Seal's class was amazing, as in I learned a lot as a business major. I used many of what I learned during my interview for an internship (SIPOC Chart, PFD, etc.) and the recruiter was highly impressed and hired me. Although Dr. Seal's class is challenging, I gained so much skill & knowledge, I can't appreciate Dr. Seal enough. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Comment:
Seal can be a bit confusing during class since the lingo used in the class is new and difficult. But if you go to his office hours, he basically does the problems for you and talks the entire thing out. Tests are difficult but he allows a cheat sheet on both the midterm& final. Be sure to work consistently on the group project or you'll fall behind

Professor Seal is a nice guy, but his class is very demanding. There is a semester long group project, five in depth assignments, and a midterm and final. The material is extremely difficult if you're not familiar with it and in order to pass you will have to put in a lot of work.

This class was very difficult, and a lot of what was covered in the class wasn't even tested on. There were test questions that we hadn't learned and his response to it was that the test gave enough info for you to learn about the topic, during the test. Very difficult and hard, avoid if you can.

great guy in person, but as an instructor, his AIMS 2710 introductory course was pretty tough. Prepare for an abundance of assignments. Go to class & pay attention during lectures, especially during in-class assignments. Office hours are your saving grace in this class; go frequently and you'll get a least a "B" grade. His midterm & final was hard.

His thick accent makes it literally impossible to understand what he is talking about. The amount of work is insane. His assignments hold no bearing on real-world scenarios and teach you nothing about revenant, modern-day Excel functions, as the curriculum isa based on the 2007 version, not the 2015 version.

He is smart but doesn't teach well. He expects students to know the materials on their own just because he does. I figured out what I'm doing on my own without him. Class is super boring, it's a waste of time. Avoid at all cost.

Sweet lord the amount of work he expects you to do is insane. It is never ending. I have probably written over 60 pages about things he does not teach very well in the lecture. He is a great guy. Cool to talk to and funny but go to his office hours if you want to get to know him..... Don't take his class

The best way I can describe Seal is that I like him as a person not so much for an intro to AIMS professor. He lectures at fast pace so its hard to follow in class. There are 5 assignments that are pretty tough but if you go to his office hours he'll literally help you step by step. Midterm and Final are tough but you get cheat sheet.

I took this class over summer and there are 3 projects, a midterm, and a final. The assignments literally took over 4 hours to do so I recommend starting them early. Exams are multiple choice with some writing but you get to bring a cheat sheet. This course is demanding, but doable.

It is definitely not an easy course, especially for those less statistically inclined. But Seal genuinely loves his subject, and he is extremely accessible to students post-class for clarifications, extra help, etc. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher for a subject I was pretty phobic about.

Don't take this class. It was one of the hardest classes I ever took. Its suppose to be an "introductory" AIMS class, but Dr. Seal overloads you with way more information than needed to understand the basic concepts. His final consists of memorization and regurgitation of hundreds of terms that I will forget in 1 week. Hardest AIMS 2710 class.
