Professor Ballard is a great professor! He is really funny and gives great feedback. If you are afraid of speaking in front of people, he understands and is very encouraging. He gives extra credit and pointers for future speeches to help your grade. He want his students to succeed, and he shows that. Take this professor!

He cares about his students and is very funny. Yes a lot of these comments are true and he does go off topic with unrelated stories, but they're so funny and the class is so easy I know most of my class didn't mind it. The speeches were easy and you were not graded on how you presented but the actual quality of your speech. Would recommend!

If you're looking for an easy A this is the class. He talks a lot but it was worth listening to for the grade that most people got. All you have to do is show up and write the three essays throughout the semester. That's it. He cares about his students and wants you to succeed.

I think it would be illegal for me to say how much I love this professor. Be ready thank have fun. Do all your assignments and speeches on the due date. If you do at a different day, u loose 50% of the grade.

Professor Ballard does a good job teaching his speech courses. Most of the time the lectures are mostly about him and his adventures of his past but he does integrate it into his teaching. Most of the material is covered by the textbook if you miss a class. Very hilarious! Will teach you ways to overcome the fear of public speaking!

One of the best professors I've had so far. Not only does he teach speech effectively, but he also take time to teach students about themselves and trying to get them to learn how to be good speakers, no matter where they are, and become comfortable wit the idea. He's funny, kind, and charming.

Anthony Ballard is by far the best professor I have ever had. I refused to skip any of his classes because of how interesting his class is. He gives you great feedback when it comes to speeches so that the next time you get an even better grade. I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially if you have anxiety when it comes to public speaking.

A unique prof. in that he has his opinions but is such a reasonable and realistic person that even if you disagree, you value his opinion. His lectures are meaningful but will not cover what you need to know for quizzes. Quizzes lots of definition based questions. Speeches are easy. His class opens your eyes about life. I'll miss his lectures!

Ballard was very inspirational to me. By that I mean he isnpired me to do more research before I Choose a professor. But seriously the way he grades feels kinda personal. I would not want to know what goes on in his head.

If you care about being graded based on your performance and substance, and not what the instructor thinks you deserve, try someone else. Mr. Ballard's spelling of words made more sense than his grading. I give him a star for his spelling.

He goes on tons of rants and wastes class time. I submitted many assignments and made A's and B's . Except on my final speech which was probably my best one I receive a D. The worst part, I emailed him multiple times asking to at least explain . With NO response. He also canceled multiple classes. He also is extremely vague and unclear.

I took his class for an A.A requirement--and I absolutely dreaded the thought of giving speeches(very anxiety-ridden).Even with my aversion to public speaking, I came out of the class with a high "A". There are 6-7 speeches(2-7min), and then quizzes on the textbook material. He is a fair grader, just follow his speech guidelines and you'll pass.

Professor Ballard is the perfect professor to instruct a speech class. He has a great sense of humor and is full of stories. I always enjoy hearing them. He gives helpful feedback and is very understanding. The only problems I faced were some projects being assigned with short notice and he takes a while to grade. Overall though, he's great!

Professor Ballard often got distracted during class, telling stories that had little or nothing to do with the course material. Everything taught in class I could have easily learned on my own from the textbook. Not enough time was given to complete big assignments. For example, 2 weeks to organize 6 peoples' busy schedules for a group project.

Professors Ballard is awesome ! His personality is perfect for this class , he talks a lot but he informs you on everything and his stories relate to the speech but they make the class even funnier. Easy grader,very understanding ! Great for students who are nervous about speech!
