As stated before, the class is a breath of fresh air. He is extremely friendly and really wants you to succeed in his class. Assignments are online and fairly easy. He tells you exactly what's on the quiz so if you get a bad grade it's because you didn't study. By far my favorite professor and would not hesitate to take another one of his classes.

20 minutes late to every class. Nice enough guy, but doesn't teach. Always starts lecturing about Latin roots & other languages & never stays on topic. Talks about all the places he's traveled & constantly criticizes us for "not traveling enough." Straight up told us if we wanted to learn a language, we should be abroad and not in an Italian class

What a breath of fresh air! An outstanding professor and a great guy once you get to know him. Makes every class fun and is pretty much open on any topic you want to discuss. There is a lot of work to do if you want to do well in his class but you will learn so much! I regret waiting until I was a senior to take one of his classes.

I actually enjoyed coming to class. I took Greek and I didn't know a thing about any other language and he made it easy to understand. He's very smart and the class size was really small and intimate. I enjoyed the class a lot and didn't have to take the final because the people with the least absences don't have to take it! Best language professor

He was an amazing teacher, very approachable and a fair teacher. There was a quiz everyday on the homework chapters, and if you read the assignment you will pass the quiz. Fun class, definitely want to take another class with him, and totally recommend him to anyone looking for a fun class to fill in their schedule

He is obviously a good teacher. Knows the language very well and knows the fun of it. Just to add two things:1. 10min late for class is common. 2. you still want to wait because no finals for perfect attendance.

He is so, so smart. The subjects he knows (and there are a lot of them) he knows inside and out. Too bad he's one of the coldest professors I've ever had, and tends to pick someone to belittle every class. If it's not you, you'll probably have a lot of fun and learn a ton. If it IS you, well, you'll learn a ton if you can keep from killing yourself

He's really all about learning German. Class has students from really good to beginners. We're constantly trying doing new things for different types of German--podcasts, shows, audio, conversation. Just hate meeting Tues/Thurs.

He is arrogant. Thinks it is okay to disrespect students, especially students who just want to learn! He likes to pretend to be a good guy, but isn't.
