I scored him a 4 on the easiness scale simply because if you review every day, you'll get an A. That being said, it's not a GPA booster; there's a LOT of info packed into this course so don't take it for granted. You fall behind--say goodbye. The lab component is a whole other class altogether. If you want to take this class, you better be serious!

He is my hero. Best prof I have had since university. He knows so much that it is sometimes hard to imagine. Super nice and helpful. Crystal clear in lecture and answers for questions. Writes a paragraph for a one-line question in email. He makes zoology fun.

Dr. Russell is hands down, the best professor the U of C has. He's incredibly helpful, shows a genuine interest in helping his students succeed.He's incredibly kind and very passionate about what he teaches. Tests are fair. Take this class ONLY if you have a real passion for anatomy! Anyone who hates it, doesn't like anatomy as much as they claim!!

Dr. Russell is the best, most passionate professor at U of C. Most profs don't care whether their students understand the material or take out important information but he is there strictly for the students. Fair tests if you study.

A strange requirement for environmental science students. Extremely poor emphasis on what is to be known, so you have to wade through huge amounts of material where most will not be tested. Asking Anthony a question nets an in depth response that has nothing to do with what you asked. Great if you like smelly dead things and tedious memorization.

Comment:

One of the best Zoology professors at UofC. He is extremely knowledgeable, interesting and helpful. He is very approachable and will answer any question no matter how big or small. He has won numerous awards from the school and has been featured on the Discovery Channel. If you ever have an opportunity to take a course with him, do it!

Fantastic professor. Truly wants you to learn and understand. His exams are more than fair.. if you attend lecture and study! He is my favorite prof and his lectures are interesting and well administered. Very good at answering ANY questions, I would recommend him to anyone!! I took 377, and both 477's with him.

The best professor I have ever had, and the kindest person! He is very passionate about the subject matter, and it definitely shows and holds your interest. Extremely helpful when approached! Does his best to help you prepare for exams! If you know the material you WILL do well! He is amazing!! Had him for ZOOL 377, 477.01 and .02! Awesome courses!

He's a really nice guy, but I've never had someone worse at teaching than him. Worse than Bentley... worse than Addicott. Too much info, most of which is never tested. Very disorganized. Definitely turned me off zoology for good.

nice guy, not too bad at lecturing, but it's not particularly clear what he wants you to take from his lectures. really tries to help you if you approach him with questions, recommend going to his tutorials. his exams have a TON of depth, be prepared.
