Pereira is a wonderful professor! He organizes the class to where assignment due dates are flexible for everyone and includes interesting lectures to boot. If you pay attention in class and complete even half the amount of reading, you will excel. He is also very eager to work with you outside of class if necessary. Fantastic guy and class!

He's very interested in what students have to say, so be prepared to talk a lot. His lectures are very relevant and always incorporates current events. He really enjoys the subject matter and expects you to have some knowledge about the third world. 2 papers and final, grades papers fairly with a lot of feedback, final was easy

Professor Pereira is in incredibly nice guy. He tries really really hard and treats all his students with respect. He is very knowledgable. But the readings and lectures are pretty dense--definitely wouldn't recommend to non-poli sci majors.

Pereira is a really nice guy, and will help you if you ask for it. However, the readings are a bit dense and the lectures aren't much better-- at least for someone who is not a poli sci major. Don't take this if you're fulfilling a requirement.
