Amazing professor ! i dont understand why his rating was so low, i took linear algebra with him in the fall semester and he taught it very well; so long as you pay attention in class a little, you dont even really need to study that much outside the class! there is a textbook but he gives you the online version with answers. i highly suggest him!

Doesn't do a very good job of clearly explaining the information and if you ask a question he just repeats himself over and over again. I don't think he typically teaches Linear algebra (MAT220) and I think he may be filling in which could explain it, but from my experience with 220, would NOT suggest, only grades are few tests and final. no curve.

Prof. Srivastav took some warming up, but overall taught a potentially mega-boring topic really well. 452 has five (short) papers that are reiterated on two easy tests throughout the year. Grad students do an extra presentation. The lectures can be kinda disorganized, but match up well with the textbook, which is a smooth read. Learned a lot overal

GREAT professor. I learned a huge amount of difficulty material in a relatively painless way. He goes to great lengths to grade students fairly and be as helpful as possible. Lots of homework online but its is the best ancillary to help you learn. Generous grader. Attendance not mandatory but strongly recommended. Weekly/bi-weekly quizzes

I disagree with the people that said bad things about this Professor. He has an Indian accent but he is an extremely intelligent and professor. I took Abstract Algebra with him and I really understand the subject. His test were not hard & his as homework are easy too. Take a class with him U wont regret it unless u are just WAY below average

I took 327 with childs and dropped it 'cos I spend too much time on the class and it was really difficult. Anupam is easily to follow I mean I understand abstract algebra. All I do is just revise before the exam and get an A. Take a class with him you will not regret it.

Good professor. Clear and seems to be helpful. It's a shame he's not teaching here next semester. (Don't know if he got another job or just on sabbatical.) He has an accent, but if you actually make the effort, you will get used to it.

its an intro class so if you dont do the hw you wont understadn the material and you will never understand anything in class because his accent is a little difficult to understand. He is VERY helpful and will always explain everything to you if you go to his office hours and will sit down and do problems with you step by step.

Notice how all the stats retards can't understand his mysterious accent and so forth... Stats at that level are for monkeys, so judging his merits as a math professor on a class which essentially isn't even math is hardly fair. As for real, higher level math he's a very good teacher, knows his stuff, and quite willing to work with students. Also, his accent isn't so bad, since the more intelligent people who are in high math have no trouble following his slightly accented speech. Jeesh.
