Professor Mahadev is a tough professor but she really explains and teaches the lectures very well. For someone who really need to learn she is great! She is always able to help. Her tests are heavy and cover almost everything from lecture and homework...

No matter how hard you try in her class you are always behind. Never take her class. She is a very hard grader with way too much homework for no reason. She doesn't care that you have a life outside of school.

Not an easy professor but her goal is to make you really learn and understand the material for the course. If you are struggling, just visit her in her office and she will work with you one on one. You really got to put an effort in her class if you want to get a good grade in it, so if your looking for an easy A, look somewhere else.

Professor Mahadev taught my CS140 class. While I found the content interesting, it could feel like she moved too fast at times. She expects you to work and also definitely expects you to catch onto things very quickly. Her exams are decently long. Project grading can be a little nitpicky. You need to work in this class. Barely slid into an A.

Mahadev truly wants her students to learn the materials. The workload for her classes is heavy compared to most of the other CS professors at WSU so an A is something to strive for but not guaranteed. There are many graded assignments in her classes so a few bad grades won't cause your GPA to plummet. She's almost always available for questions too

She is a very tough professor. Her exams are often long and I found a lot of the questions to be nitpicky. She expects you to know new material within minutes of her teaching it and gets aggravated if you don't. There is also a lot of homework/projects and it is often tedious and/or redundant. I would avoid taking her course if possible.

She is very unfair while grading. She does not go by book, she goes by her notes, which nobody knows where she gets them from. As such her exams are not fair. Mastery comes from practice. Notes are not sufficient. As a result everybody got As in Wursts class!! Cs and Ds with her!!

*Very* tough professor, but you'll definitely learn from her class. Doesn't really ease into new topics, gives examples and expects that you know how to do it right after. Often puts people on the spot and immediately knows if you don't understand. Pretty helpful if you ask, though.

I took her for Microcomputer Applications online during Summer 1. She assigns a lot of work. Week 1, she assigned 6 chapters to read and 4 HW assignments. I gave up on reading and just did the HW because it was too much work. Maybe it would be less work during SpringFall. 2 tests: all vocab questions, nothing to do with the HW & not enough time.

Took 3 classes with her, 2 were CS(101 and 242) one was UR230. The toughest professor I ever encountered in the university. This was a dual enrollment course I took (highschool student) and it's pretty confusing! I ended up passing with an A only because a good friend of mine helped me out with his prior experience. Her method of teaching is more "here's the assignment and a few examples, figure the rest out" than "let me show you baby steps."

I received her feedback for my first home work. She said that my program hang, but it actually was waiting. So she didn't know how cin is working. Her Quiz consist from the whole sentence from the book, were she removed the key word. This is Graduate level in her opinion, but she teaches only at beginning level. U find same stuff online. Avoid her.

One student ask her in class about home work program, she said that she got this assignment from internet and didn't solve it, and she don't know how complex it is. Another class she said that she does not have a background in c++ any more, she said she used to have, but now her background is Java. This was c++ CLASS. DON'T TAKE HER CLASSES!

Best professor I ever had and the toughest. Believe her when she says grades are not candies to be given away for free. You have to earn them, but when you do, you'll be proud. So what if she is from India, she is much more knowledgeable than most of her American colleagues . If you want a job when you graduate, take all her computer classes

Before I had to take her for CS242 I was really excited to continue on with my computer science courses after doing well with Professor Wurst's CS-140 class. However, she has took the spirit right out of me. She is a horrible professor and I know for a fact that the majority of the CS Majors at WSU will agree with you. She is a disgrace to WSU.

Mahadev is the toughest teacher I have ever had. I'm currently a second semester junior with a 3.8 GPA. I would NOT recommend her at all. She acts as if this is your only lass you are taking and does give you a chance yo breath. I would suggest taking this class with Wurst. You will probably fail if you have never programmed, luckily for me I had.

She is the toughest teacher you will ever take and the best part about it is if you are a computer science major she is teaching according to her the hardest class in the major. So this is a great duo, if you walk away with a C or dare I say a B, go play the lottery because you are lucky. Toughest teacher ever good luck and she is so rude when ever you ask for help it's like pulling teeth and she just becomes agravated with you for wasting her time even though it's office hours.
