Dr. Aspedon can't hear well enough to answer questions, and his lectures are extremely scattered. He told us the first day of class that he would provide all of our notes and that a textbook wasn't necessary, but I would definitely recommend getting one just to clarify his lectures. Tests are your only grades, but they're super easy.

Microbiology and Micro Lab are one grade not seperate (like chemistry) Aspedon free lectures without notes. Many times his lectures are not organized so it is very difficult to keep you notes organized. I was in a large class and only two people made an A. He said that is normal. 500 pts lect/300 pts lab total 800 pts for class

I recommend Dr. Aspedon for microbiology lab. His labs are straightforward; you'll learn a lot. He gives a quiz every week which covers material in the lab manual, which, if you'll study, you'll excel on the quizzes. He's pretty lenient when grading projects.

I think that Dr. Aspedon is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. His tests are not the easiest by far and I have always really had to study in his class but I respect him a lot. He doesn't play favorites and either you studied or you didn't. He is a very nice man as well and has always been there to answer my questions.
