I don't know why anyone has a problem with his english or teaching methods. Even if you were unable to understand him he writes everything on the board and has very clear overhead slides. All test problems are either done in class or on the homework, so as long as you go to class and do the hw you can pass the class. Great teacher IMO.

I liked him until he gave me a bad grade. also he no longer leaves the room when giving tests probably thanks to the idiot that made that 11/2004 comment. dont make the mistake i did and study for at least 15 minutes for the final. or lese you will find yourself dropping about 2 letter grades.

Comment:
Much harder than other sections. Tests are harder than homework. Hard to understand. Prof. Weng doesn't take into consideration that not everyone has been doing econ at the stanford phd level for years. also doesnt realize that one doesnt develop a profound understanding of the subject after 3 weeks.

not an easy class, goes more in depth than other sections. But, if you dont cheat its not too hard to learn.

He doesn't understand English well enough to answer questions! He also has no clue about programming, so if you try to use good code you don't do well. If you don't simply copy methods he did in class, he doesn't understand English so you don't do well.

He should really take ESL courses. I don't know how he got into Stanford but I bet they didn't make him take an English proficiency test. It's hard enough to understand what he is saying so don't even try asking questions.
