Very hard class. I saw him more as a chemist rather than a professor. The MasteringChemistry homework was ridiculous and unhelpful.

Gen. chem. 1 and 2. This man is a magnificent professor. He beautifully distilled (no pun intended) governing concepts into even the most simple lecture with ease...

Dr. Zipp loves chemistry and loves to teach it to his students. However, the class average is in the mid 50s for all the tests and nothing seems to change. All I can say is that if you stay within the class average, you'll get in the C range, which is great for this course in my opinion. He seems to compensate you if you do well in the lab.

Very difficult class but he's one of the best professors at the school. He's a great whistler and he's so friendly. He knows every one of his students and stops to talk to everyone.

Dr. Zipp is a great professor! Anyone who expects to go into a college level science course thinking its going to be easy is dead wrong(Especially when it comes to chemistry). Dr. Zipp is very good at explaining his material, and he gives you a slow and steady approach in order to make the material less overwhelming. He an excellent professor.

Dr.Zipp is the best man that ever lived. His whistle is amazing. He is one of the nicest people i have ever met. The class is difficult but if you stay on top of the work and go to SI and take problem sovling you will be fine. Dr. Zipp is really good at explaining things but it does not always come across well in lecture, go to him one on one.

He's a good teacher but his tests are IMPOSSIBLE ! Quizzes are really tricky too... homework due every friday and you obsolutly have to read the text if you wanna pass. He gives you a study guide for tests but then asks completly different questions on it! Tough Teacher

The truth is he uses the video disk that comes with your book. If I wanted to learn that way I'd have bought the book and not pay for the four credit hours his class has. He gives you homework monday due friday. Tests are hard and you might as well read the textbook. Notetaking in class is a formality. Nice guy but is too smart to teach!
