Comment:

Dr. Klotz was great. He was a little quiet, but he was very good with learning our names. His notes were well-organized and clear, and he helped a lot with studying by giving us essay questions to memorize--even for the final! (yes, they were a lot of work, but they paid off very well) He really showed the very interesting side of plants and fungi.

Dr. Klotz is tied for the most dedicated TEACHER I have had in college. He's a good guy and he's willing to help you out. I have taken a few classes with him and I'm probably going to take another. The amount of work he gives is very fair in respect to learning a decent amount in a course.

My favorite professor at Cortland so far. His tests are straight from his note and pretty basic questions. I learned so much and made me so interested in bio. Very organized with his notes which makes it a lot easier to understand. Never wanted to skip his class!

Nice guy, brings real world stuff into every class to help students make connections to see where they'll see/use the info outside of class. Has at least a 90 minute review session before every test (3 tests + final) that he anounces a week prior. Personable, sense of humor and very reasonable just don't be disrepectful to him and you're golden.

Horrible professor who is boring, has bad notes, makes you read crazy amounts of textbook and is bad at teaching students. Tests are hit or miss (range from 15-100pt grade in my class on exams). Only 2 tests so don't mess up. Semi-easy grade if you dont mess up at all, one mistake and thats all she wrote. Easy elective but crap shoot. boring & bad

Definitely a great professor. I learned so much from this guy I can't even believe it. He might be boring to some, but if you actually pay attention, you'll understand that he has some real interesting stuff to say. We took field trips around Cortland and Syracuse,so that wasn't bad. I would take him again if I could, and I suggest the same for you

I suck at science in general and Klotz and this class are the best elective GE's to take at school. He's really nice and you only have to do 3 lab reports and not one for every lab. One of the class books is actually really interesting to read. God class overall, you'll learn a lot.
