Dr. Chase is one of the best professors I have ever had. He teaches. He ACTUALLY teaches and actually cares whether or not students understand the material. If you go to class and take really good notes, you can pass the exam. The articles and workbooks were kind of hard but interesting and he gives the answer after its turned in and explains it.

He's not that bad. His tests are pretty hard, you have to really study the notes. His lectures and videos he shows are pretty boring, but not horrible, I've had worse. He is a nice guy. Not as stanch as he is made out to be. But make sure you take good notes, it will really help for tests.

Dr. Chase is a briallant archaeologist. I don't think many students fully enjoy his classes because of his abstract thought processes. As a student in his first graduate class, I value the training we are receiving to be able to think on our own as archaeologists. Think outside of the box and you'll fit right in!

Worship the oaf (as he does) and you will do fine. You don't need to study beyond memorizing few mezoamerican buzzwords--just sprinkle a few of them in with sickening praise of instructor on your essay answers and you will do fine. Surprised he doesn't change name to Mr. Mesoamerica. lol

Great professor. He is helpful if you work around his busy schedule. Very cut and dry with what he wants you to know. Gives a study guide before each exam for you to fill out so you can ace the tests. Only teaches during Fall term due to his field work in Belize. Great lecturer; never boring!

Dr Chase is not for someone looking for an easy class - you definately have to study. He's a talker, knows his stuff, but be prepared for endless lectures about his accomplishments, and don't be surprised when 80% of videos are about HIM(gee, no ego here)
