not only could i not understand him, not only was he nasty and rude and blatanly made fun of students, but he was probably the worst professor i have had at fordham. i got a 770 on my SAT math score and barely passed this class with a D. i was hopsitalized during a test he wouldnt let me make up. stay away.

He was so unfair. I had all A's or 100s on my tests and because I missed more than 4 classes, he gave me a C- for the class saying that I deserved that because I never made it to class. Hmmmm...well if I pulled off such high grades obviously I understood the ciriculum.

If you're good at math this class is not hard. If you aren't good at math he will make you feel like a complete idiot. You may feel like this is 3rd grade math yet you fail everything. He is very endearing and his accent is hilarious. So take him if you're good at math. If not, stay away.

Dr. Brumer is definately an unclear professor; his degree of clarity is, however, due to the fact that he assumes everyone is on the same intellectual level as he is. I agree with the others in that Dr. Brumer made the material a bit more challenging than it had to be- but do the work, it's bearable

Bumer is a typical brilliant mathematics professor-he knows his stuff but can't teach it well and doesn't understand why everyone else finds it so difficult. Be prepared to go in for help all the time. He is helpful in office hours, but get a tutor too if you take him. Trust me, you'll need one.

Professor Brumer is definately an intelligent man and a bit of a joker. He is very old school though, and he commonly likes to make mountains out of mohills. His time of good teaching is definately up and he should retire soon because he is just terrible now. A nice man, bad teacher. Dont take him.

The worst teacher I have had at Fordham so far. Has a bad accent, very lazy and is more interested in the math majors then anyone else. Tests are difficult and homework is like 10 pages long. I wouldn't suggest him to anyone.
