Comment:
He is slow at explaining his slides so things go smoothly when studying for his parts. He had the easiest questions ever--true/false questions so made the final pretty doable. but pay attention to the use of organisms(like why we use frog oocyte). I never expected this kind of questions before.

This man is a blessing. He will save your gpa even when you thought all hope was lost after the midterm. I do recommend taking him! Other than that, Dr. Pause's material on cancer was interesting, and he tells you what you need to know for test for the most part.

Fantastic lecturer. I was so into his material, it didnt feel like I was having information shoved down my throat but rather like storytelling. His slides are a little weird -- they contain chunks of text which are ultimately the legend of the figure in the textbook. Really nice after lectures for Qs, 100% recommend if you are interested in cancer

His lectures are a boring, disorganized mess, he goes off on tangents and forgets to teach you about the material he actually tests you on. His final exam questions are either the easiest questions you've ever seen on a final, or trick questions. Wish I took BIOL201.

Comment:
HE MAKES LECTURES SO BORING. ALTHOUGH BIOC 212 ISN'T AIMED AT FUN SCIENCE (IT INVOLVES A LOT OF PROTEINS). HIS CONTENT IS NOT DIFFICULT, BUT CANCER CAN BE TAUGHT IN A MUCH MORE MEMORABLE WAY. HE IS HELPFUL THOUGH. JUST NOT THE BEST LECTURER FOR A RATHER MORE RELEVANT SECTION. P.S. TURN THE VOLUME UP TO 100% TO WATCH HIS RECORDING!!!!!

He can't use the microphone so sit in front and if you are planning on watching recordings go buy speakers. He can't teach but his lecture slides are well made, he puts pictures and their description. His section is pretty simple if you come in prepared. Prepared read or watch videos about the topic, otherwise you'll be confused.

Disorganized slides, ok lectures but sometimes you just get lost in what he's trying in terms of its relevance to the wider context

Although the textbook is not required, I suggest u use it as a guide during Pause, Bouchard and a small part of Duchaine's sections. Reading the textbook made the difference between my midterm grade and final exam grade! The midterm was bad but they curved it up a little so they can be a bit flexible. Expect type 2 MC questions though.

He too comes across as arrogant but he's a great teacher. His Cancer section may seem overwhelming with all the details but shouldn't be too bad if you're also taking biol 202. Thankfully, his exam questions didn't ask all those details, just the key "players" and concepts. I found that All Bioc profs gave fair questions except for maybe Dr.Young..

Good teacher. Not arrogant, it's just the way his face is, he lift his head to look at you from under his specs, rather than lifting them up. Overall, great prof, his final was hard though, lot of people complained about the format, but if u knew ur stuff it wasnt that hard.

The guy not a bad teacher. He acts arrogant in class cause I think he's nervous but if you ask him a question later like one on one he's pretty nice. His q's on the exam are really easy! His accent will keep u awake when listening to lectures at 3am
