STAY AWAY! I don't see how you could take a worse professor. He is totally scattered and confuses you more than he helps. Asks you to write a code, but cannot reproduce an example when asked in class. Lectures completely from the book, but reading won't help since assignments are not similar to the text. If he is only option, wait a semester.

He's a nice guy, and is helpful if you actually ask him. The class grade was based on projects and 3 tests - it was easy to get full credit on projects if you followed the directions, but the class average for the tests was like a 60, so make sure you study thoroughly for tests.

I would not recommend taking this professor for ANY class if you don't know enough about programming. His lectures are boring with a powerpoint of the textbook and even gets confused by them. He answers questions with "Uhh.. Well.. You know. If you don't see me during my office hours."; therefore, not answering squatjack.

Worst professor at CSULB. He does not explain anything clearly and when he tries to explain a new concept he ends up spending multiple class sessions doing so. The tone of his voice is impossible to sit though. He is no help what-so-ever. Avoid taking this... person at all cost. I do not call him a professor because professors can teach.

Unreasonable grader. One thing wrong about a program and he takes off almost half of the points. After the first midterm I had a high B, almost A. Got full credit on majority of the programs, and in the end he gave me a C. Extremely ridiculous.

I can't speak about his programming-teaching ability, but for this class (ENGR 350), he's a decent teacher. In decent I mean that the class is fairly easy, boiling down to online assignments that the student has to type up every week. Was kinda a hassle but got an A... no complaints. Be prepared to be bored though.. I fell asleep half the time

Very boring class. A whole semester of listening to presentations by students cuz he can't teach himself. Grades hard on the online assignments. Midterm, final, and presentation. Midterm and final he gives you a study guide and he picks questions off the study guide. Boring/bad teacher, but overall, its an okay class.

This class is a joke. He teaches almost nothing. He uses code samples from the book to "teach" concepts. For the labs, he has you basically copy/paste the sample code and make slight modifications.

The worst and most unreasonable professor at CSULB. DO NOT take no matter what. Can't teach, only reads off websites and code examples that even he cannot write himself. Gives zeros on labs even though you do them write. Avoid at all costs!!!

I took him for Internet Applications with Java (CECS 471) over summer 2006. His assignments take up ALOT of time, so be prepared to sacrifice your weekends and start working on them early. But his tests are really easy and he allows 1 page of notes (both sides), material is directly from his book. Make sure u're good at Java/Swing, though!!

Well do your hw and read the book and listen in class it will be fine....I didn't have the greatest test score mainly my fault but I still got out with a C..so with a little more effort from me easily could have raised me score.
