He is really specific what will be on midterms and final exam. Your job is that you have to read the book and highlight the definitions and go through the big second bullet of every chapter to do essay questions. I really like him, one thing is sitting in class for 2 hours straight listening to long boring lecture is one bad thing.

I don't know why his rating is so bad. His class is really straightforward and he is always willing to help students. He gives homework (cases) but it's extremely easy. He doesn't really read the cases and states exactly what is going to be on the exam. The classes aren't exactly exciting, but he has lots of experience. I would recommend his class

He's not as bad as some say he is. Homework is super easy. Keep up with the reading and you will do fine. His lectures are hit or miss. Sometimes they can be entertaining but other times they are mundane and repetitive. Do your the homework, participate in discussions and he will like you.

Informal teaching style. Vague study guides. Long and boring class. Short and easy homework weekly. It appears that if you can get on his good side you will get a better grade. So go to his office hours and participate in class, if that's not your thing, don't take this class

Class was alright. Sometimes its pure lecture, but we discussed a good amount. Be sure to participate in class & visit his office once in a while. He loves football. Poster project wasnt too bad, just choose an easy concept to do. Weekly HW was easy, I dont think he even read them. Know key terms & use essay format on his midterms. Would take again

I really hate his class even I ended up with B. His class was extremely boring. But don't ever miss the lecture, he always provide some extra credit. I strongly recommend that "Do not take this class!!!" It will lower your GPA, or you have to work so hard to just passed this class!!!

I am a C student getting a B+ in his class... If you show up to class you will get a good grade... What really helps and im sure the students that cmmented before me didn't, is to go to his office hours with any questions, he more than happy to help or just sit and talk...

Even though I did very well in his class (161a) , it was by far my most stressful class because he was quite unclear as to requirements for both projects and tests. I worked probably twice as hard as I really needed to because I wasn't sure what to study. Oh, and make sure you pay attention when he springs the poster project on you!

Difficult class, but quality teacher with real world experience. Main drawback is that he has no small company experience. He provides great examples. Read the book, do the homework, pay attention, ask questions, you will do well. Problems: crappy-art-based homework in late term; essay exams; unclear about requirements.

He's a nice guy, just come to class-you need to participate for points. He is discriminating against females. He will help you only if you approach him with the right words. Prof. Walton is actually a very good professor. If you go to class and read the book, the answers to his tests are very easy. He was clear on all aspects of the class except for the paper, but if you ask him for help, he is willing to do so. I would definitely recommend this professor! =)

This class was somewhat easy, but you need to go to class, otherwise you'll miss hw/quiz points & it'll add up if you miss them. The hw was very easy. There were 3 midterms, final and a 6 page paper (single space). He has the study guide for midterm/final on website. He's kinda boring and unhelpful when you ask questions.

VERY EASY CLASS!! Chapter slides online. Hw is free points. Particapation is free points too...basically your repeating his notes but getting points for it. What a deal lol. 3 MT, Final is OPTIONAL!!! wooo. A 6pg term paper single space...difficult but he is approachable for help. Recommend =]

this class is really really easy!! i shoulda took him first-- failed 161a with zachary! he is hard! dont take him. walton makes it clear what to study for. he gives you a study guide. class is so easy-- just go to class. you learn a lot from him!
