I took this guy for calc 1 and 2. His exams are tough. Most students didn't like him. Calc 1 wasn't too bad, but calc 2 was a massacre. I don't think anyone in the class got an A. At most, maybe one person did.

Expect to teach yourself completly. The class isn't terrible, his tests are horrible, but expect to get a B at most simply due to his grading style. His tests at 10 questions and even one mistake in a long problem will garner you a 0 on it. He doesn't curve and grade is based on 4 midterms and a final.

will make your life difficult. his cough will bug you for a couple days, then you'll get used to it. his tests are graded very tough, losing 5 points for a sign error is unresonable in a 10pt problem, espicially right before the solution. tests are hard, expects you know calc2 before you take the class, not many people passed

Not as bad as everyone says. Coughing is not bothersome. I can see where some people might have a hard time with this class, especially if they haven't had math in awhile. But if you have the prereqs or have a basic underlying knowledge of the Math Concepts principles, this should be easy. Don't take during summer if you need more attention.

If he thinks you're smart, he'll take you under his wing. But he will make no effort to help you if he deems you "unworthy." Even if you initially make good impression, if you slip up--don't catch on to some new topic right away--he'll drop you from the "worthy" list without hesitation.
