Can be hard to understand. Attendance isn't mandatory but he does give many unannounced quizzes. Easy tests that say almost verbatim what the textbook does. Make a quizlet out of the study guide and READ THE CHAPTERS, and it'll be the easiest A on a test you ever got.

This class is pretty boring, but an easy A. Only 4 tests, no final. If you do the study guide and read the book you will do well on the tests. Attendance is not mandatory, but he gives a lot of 3 question pop quizzes. Dr. Juska is very sweet and always tries to make people laugh.

This professor is not at all what I thought he would be when I first started this course. The course work is easier than I had thought but exams are difficult if you don't pay attention which is easy when he rants or if you do not study a lot. He is a funny guy who likes to try making his students laugh. Gives quizzes each class and no homework

Nice man - good personality however his accent made it difficult to understand him during lectures. Tests are based heavily from lectures. Average Class - Not bad.

Prof. Juska is really funny if you listen to his lectures, but he does have a thick accent so sometimes is hard to understand. Buy the textbook and bring it to class. Attendance isn't exactly mandatory but there is a quiz ever 2-3 classes so definitely go to class.

He has a thick accent but after awhile you get used to it and can understand him better. You only have 4 tests and a lot of pop quizzes but the quizzes are really chill. As long as you study you will do fine.

I was nervous about this class due to the responses on here, but he is an EASY A! Very smart, and sweet, and if you're not talking, and paying attention he is understandable. If you plan to attend class and listen attentively, he is awesome!

He is so hard to understand. The entire time i was in his class we talked about suicide and such. His test questions are things like "according to sociologists, what do individuals consist of?". He gives study guides but you have to be able to understand him in class to understand the guide.

Dr. Juska is a okay professor. Just beware that he is very boring, he talks through the whole 50 minutes of class from the PowerPoint he only gives you four exams no final and attendance is not require but you should go because he gives 3 question quizzes every Wednesday and Friday. I do not want to take a class with him again but others might.

Professor Juska is a very nice guy and he has a great since of humor. Although he doesn't check attendance, it's mandatory because he gives a three question multiple choice quiz at the end of almost every class. The test questions are the EXACT same as his study guides!! For the study guides, he tells you what page(s) the answers are on.

He has a good sense of humor and is always willing to help. The only down side is that he is sometimes hard to understand because of his foreign accent, and his grammar (especially on tests) is pretty bad. At some points, I couldn't even figure out what he was asking for in the test questions. While I'd really love to give this man a great rating, he is just not clear enough.

One of the worst professors I've ever had at ECU. He's very difficult to understand because of his accent and he'll babble on and on saying the same thin 20 different ways. Also, forget about missing an exam for any emergency; the make up exam is 12 ESSAY QUESTIONS- basically you're being punished for having an illness/ death in the family.

SO boring for this class. The questions are BEYOND nit picky on exams. Examples of answer choices would be A) Not at all B)Just a little bit C)More than a little but not a lot D)Kind of a lot E)A lot. Super boring. My whole class hates going. But he is nice. No one pays attention. Would not recommend for someone that just wants an easy A/B.

The BEST professor I've had at ECU! He's got an accent, but it's easy to understand. He's incredibly kind and caring, and if you ask him about his tests, he shows you exactly how he makes them. He'll learn your name and always speak to you out of class if he sees you. No papers, and his quizzes are easy (3 questions). WONDERFUL professor and man.

Juska is a sweetheart. He makes these cute jokes and tries to be fun. The class is alright. Tests aren't too hard if you study. No homework. Attendance is not mandatory, but he gives random quizzes, so go to class. We barely used the book. You can pass without it easily. He gives a study guide, a good one too. I like him.

He is a Prof. from Lithuania. He does have a strong accent, but he talk always to the point even though it is boring. He gives quiz usually on fridays. He gives study guide which questions are transformed into test questions. So if you know the study guide (20 questions) you will be in good shape.
