Prep for A+, real life advice that was much appreciated and unfortunately constrained by the schools mandatory outline for the class which is boring but if you have experience with computers it will be easy, if you have none you will have to work very hard.

Did not learn a thing but got an A by actively going in during office hours and asking questions during class. Curve in the class really helps as you have no idea what to expect for exams and leave having no idea what just happened. Ask questions and put in the effort for homework and you should be fine, unless you actually want to learn something.

Very difficult to understand. He talks in circles a lot and doesn't lecture on anything in the book. Plan on teaching yourself everything and studying all the time. There is a big curve(85% is an A) but his tests are challenging.

Great Professor. Very Intelligent, would incorporate real life econ into class, and grades were on a huge curve (85 was an A)Only downside is that his voice is very soothing, and I almost fell asleep sometimes. Would definitely take again though.

Not a really interesting class-- professor loved to have abstract conversations about actual Economics which was pretty cool. The curve is wonderful, and he grades homework based on completion. I don't regret taking him for these reasons. Nice guy overall

Very boring class. I couldnt understand what he was saying half the time. However, he is very smart and knows a lot about economics..but will tend to go on about a subject for 40 minutes and talks in circles the whole time

Worst class I have ever taken in my life. It is nearly impossible to pay attention because all he does is lecture in a monotone voice. He goes on tangents about stuff that won't appear on the tests and doesn't spend nearly as much time on the difficult things. NEVER AGAIN.

BORING!! You can't understand what he is saying and he talks really slow. Other than that, this class is pretty easy and you will pass because of the grading curve. If you get a C on an exam it equals a B.

Read the book or his lectures don't make much sense. Maybe because he's super boring to listen to, maybe because he isn't that clear. Afifi seems like a nice guy nontheless. This is an annoying and necessary evil when it comes to gen eds.

Most chill teacher alive. You can text all day, play games, listen to your iPod. he doesn't care. But the class is very boring. A 85 is a A. His test are multiple choice and only 2 chapters per test. If you study 3 hours before the exam you're okay.

Nice guy, but really hard to understand- along with monotone lectures which sound like tangents about nothing. The ridiculous grading curve makes it able to pass his class. Make sure you read the book for the tests otherwise you're SOL

Really good prof. He cares that you learn something. He only has three tests and homework questions. If you do all the question on the homework you get all the points and he'll go over the answers later.

He is a worthless Prof. that you can never understand. He "teaches" in stories that make no sense and his test are impossible. The material on them is nothing that he talks about in class so you will have to read the entire textbook to get any point. His homework is way to long over the same jargon that he preaches for an hour about.

Professor Afifi is a nice man, he is understanding if you miss an assignment. The homework is long, there was one quiz and the exams were more difficult that the lecture material. Stick to the book and you'll do fine. There is an attendance policy so if you plan on skipping take another professor!
