Trice teaches by lecturing and gives you a lecture outline about the main points he will talk about that day. Overall its an easy class but if you miss his lectures you wont do well on the tests. He goes off on a lot of tangents while lecturing. Use the textbook to fill in the blanks on the outlines. The essays given are graded super leniently.

Trice is hilarious. One of my favorite professors I have had at JMU. Do the readings, go to class, put some effort in on the papers, and you should have no problem.

Dr. Trice is an... interesting professor to say the least. His class was not difficult at the all, very easy to pass. Definitely the easiest 211 class out there. At first I wasn't;t his biggest fan because of the dryness of his jokes, but he grew on me by the end of the semester. My advice is if you take him, to not judge a book by its cover.

This class was 150 minutes and was made bearable only by Trice's interesting and entertaining lectures. He knows more about more different things than any other professor I've met. He's a little terse and has a sarcastic wit that people could misinterpret, but he knows his stuff, is fair, and cares about his students. Very helpful if you seek it.

Those who think that Trice would say that he has the right to be pompus, don't know anything about Trice. Before describing Trice's personality, as some on here have seen fit... I suggest talking to the man outside of class. I wouldn't expect your average, unmotivated, JMU student to appreciate what he has to offer.

The funny thing about the "trice is an encyclopedia and has the right to be pompous" comment is that sounds exactly like what I imagine Trice saying about himself. It describes his personality perfectly.

Trice is a walking encyclopedia. If you don't like him, it's probably because you don't know him. He, over any psych prof here, has the right to be "pompus," but I think that perhaps some are turned off because he can crush crush them with the intellect he has in just his pinky finger. Dig deeper and, he's not as hard as his exterior projects.

I went on the study abroad trip with Trice to Italy. He is a great man and will be your friend if you let him. I say go on the trip because he's a walking encyclopedia of Italy so he's the best tour guide you can get. He's really cool when you get to know him. It's easy to get him laughing! Best trip of my life. GO TO ITALY YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

I've taken probably 8 or so classes with Trice. Trice suits a particular taste. His classes are insanely easy, alrgely because his attitude is either you want to learn or you dont, and what you get out of the class is what you bother to put into it. Be warned though, he doesn't take breaks in a class, and he just lectures. I find his usually off topic lectures interesting, but not everyone will.

The class material isn't boring, but the way he teaches it is. He just talks and talks using a powerpoint that looks like he made it the night before. His tests are not too hard. I ended up with a B-. It is just hard sitting through this class for 1 1/2. He is a nice guy, bad teaching styles.

I've been to about 1/4 of all classes this semester and I've gotten an A on everything. No attendance and even if you do go, you really don't learn anything. If you enjoy pointless stories and bad lectures, then go but otherwise, just read the book and you'll pass with no problem.

Go to lecture? What lecture??? He stutters, he tells odd stories- that's the class. And he's pompous. Tests and activities are doable, but the book is your lifeline.
