Most boring class Ive ever take. This professor took what should have been an interesting topic and drove it into the ground. I found myself eventually leaving every class because all we did was go through the assigned reading. I didnt go to class but still got As on all the exams. Very poor professor.

Comment:

This class was slightly challenging. I would recommend getting the book and taking the quizzes with classmates. The quizzes are the hardest thing about this class. There are a couple of papers but the grading criteria is very clear. There are only two (blue book) test and if you prepare you should do fine.

Started out thinking it would be TERRIBLE because his speaking is pretty monotone. Then a I realized that he is hilarious, he just says his jokes really casually so you have to listen! He explained all assignments/exams clearly, was accessible, and offered extra credit options. Get ready for dad jokes and interesting discussions

For starters, the book was pretty important but mine never came in. The lectures sufficed for the most part. He's pretty lecture based, so be prepared to listen and TAKE NOTES!!! The only HW we had were quizzes you do at home and 3 response papers. Overall it was pretty easy, and the Dr. Bolin is an amazing professor!

Dr. Bolin is a wonderful teacher! His lectures are amazing, interesting, and real though provokers. I really loved the content and the way he delivered it. His exams were reasonably challenging, but if you payed attention and put thought into the class, they were no problem.

Dr. Bolin has high but fair standards and communicates those standards to his class. If you come to class every time, participate in discussions, do your best on each assignment, and do any bonus assignments, you will probably make an "A." People who don't do well for him usually don’t follow the above instructions.
