Comment:

Great professor! Encourages lots of questions. Tests are pretty difficult but everything on the tests is covered on the homework. Difficult material but he does a good job of explaining it and being available outside of class.

I feel like a lot of people take this professor because there isn't any required homework... this was a mistake I made. I feel like he wasn't very interested in my success as the odds are really stacked against you in this course. I ended up teaching myself most of the lessons.

Tests were very difficult and there was a ton of homework. Felt like he expected people to already know things before they were taught. Extremely hard to understand. He was also extremely unhelpful outside of class, at least for me he gave me 30 seconds then kicked me out. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

Professor Abueida is a great teacher. Actually explains the math and gives opportunities for questions. Do the book problems. Tests are hard but if you go to class you will be okay. He is hilarious.

He's a wonderful teacher to have for business calculus. Do the problems in the book. Although it's not assigned he takes some of the problems he lists and use them for problems on the test. He's extremely helpful and very funny. Totally recommend!

Dr Abueida is funny but strict. Calls out on people at random to answer questions (goes from class list), and moves fairly quickly. Hadn't I covered most of the material in high school I probably would have done a lot worse.

He's very good at getting you to understand the material he teaches. He likes classes that ask a lot of questions and is helpful when you ask them, but he'll get moody if your class is a quiet class. I don't like how he always has a tough question in the test that he doesn't cover in class, but it's on his recommended homework problems.

He was amazing & makes math a very clear subject to understand. I was always unable to go to his office hours so I went to his TA's & she was not very nice & just made things more confusing. But during class if you ask a lot of questions he will make sure you understand the material.

Such a great professor! Professor Abueida truly cares about all of his students and you can really see that throughout his lectures. He has a fantastic method of explaining the material to ensure understanding. One of the best math teachers I have every had!

He is the man. I had him for my 8 AM and so everyone was out of it. He would always get us to laugh, make sure we understand the material and don't fall asleep. Some of the material can be a bit tricky, but overall he is helpful, funny, and a great guy. I'd definitely take him again!

Comment:

I've always hated math and had awful math teachers. But Abueida somehow changed all of that and I actually looked forward to going to class. He explains everything clearly and answers any question you may ask. He jokes around a lot. Only thing I hated was that there was a quiz/test every Friday.

Abueida is so funny! He really wants you to be in class and if you aren't he notices. I didn't take Calc in high school, but he made the class manageable for all students. Definitely recommend.

I am not a math person, but his calculus class was fair to people who hadn't taken calc in high school and he is very willing to help. He is a funny, entertaining teacher who cares about his students. Attendance is mandatory if you want to pass. I would recommend the class.

Professor Abuieda is a great guy! He is funny and loves to joke around. I took his Calculus 148 class my freshman year and loved it! He made me love math. He is always willing to help and answer questions. He WANTS you to ask him questions and he WANTS you to succeed. My favorite math teacher ever!

Atif is the best teacher I've ever had. And he is obviously for me the best teacher in the department. He makes the class so simple and fun. His tests are fair if you did the hw. Just do the non graded homework and show up to class and you will be fine. His final was hard but he gave us a big curve.

Dr. Abueida will do anything to help you passing his class as long as you help yourself by doing the assigned problems (not graded). Most of his exams' questions from the book. He hates cheaters. I wish I had taken the previous courses with him. He is a sarcastic guy which makes the class funnier. Take the course with him...

Comment:

If you make it to class, test and quizzes are easy. Is very friendly and helpful if you go into his office hours, and you can easily fight for point back on tests and quizzes. He is very understanding as long as you go to class and participate.
