Comment:

Yaprak is all over the place with his notes and as long as you take notes while he talks you'll survive. Ask him to tell you what the questions relate to in terms of the book chapters and he'll tell you where you should focus. Also, make sure you include a lot of his "key" words in your write ups. He's a great guy and Craig. You'll do fine.

Comment:

3rd time taking Dr. Yaprak in the MBA program. Amazing professor, kind man, but the 4 week version of this class is extremely difficult. Per usual all work is done in groups. Caution; choose groups wisely, don't just work with people you know. Also 2/3 of graded work is due a month after the class ends. Ended up dumping 2 group members. Got an A.

Comment:

He has a great personality and gives a lot of extra points (that you should earn by working very hard). Lectures are hard to sit through and his exams are not very easy. I worked hard and I finished with an A and I did not take the final! Work hard, its worth it.

Basically, he reads through the powerpoints and then diverts on his own tangent every 3 slides. Basically every concept is a list of bullet points that you need to memorize for the test. You can pass the class knowing very little about marketing as long as you memorize the lists he gives you. Mostly a headache because the course is badly organized

A lot of what is said in class is shown again on exams. Be sure to study for the short answer portion because that's the most difficult. A very nice man who is helpful and there if you need. Work hard and you'll get a desirable grade.

Compared to my other Professor this semester Dr. Yaprak felt like I was being taught by a real teacher in an MBA program, rather than some person looking for a supplemental income. He is a tough grader, but a kind, compassionate man. One of the best professors I've ever had. Try to get yourself in a good group. It makes all the difference. Got A-.

Attending class is Mandatory, miss a class and it hurts your grade. You will read ALOT, very tough grader, prides himself on that. Teaches based on case studies. you have to write up 2 and you have a midterm and a final. a LOT of writing. won't skate by

DONT MISS CLASS! One of the best profs I've ever had. He teaches from memory, no notes, no ppt, no videos. Heavy interaction w/ class. Papers are difficult and he could be better at explaining what he wants from the assignments but overall a true gentleman and a great prof.

A real gentlemen. The most memorable of all my professors at Wayne. Knowledgeable and passionate about his work. You should pay attention to what he says in class. Coursework is not too tough, but you'll have to do your homework and pull in knowledge from other classes. He gave guidelines of what he was expecting. Considerate of his students.

BEST PROFESSOR I'VE SEEN AT WSU BY FAR. YAPRAK IS A VERY INTERESTING GUY AND COMMANDS THE CLASSES ATTENTION VERY WELL, IN ADDITION TO BEING QUITE FUNNY. LOTS OF WRITING, YOU'LL LEARN A LOT AND CLASS IS WELL WORTH IT.

Great Proff! 2 take home written exams, about 10 pages each. 2 case write ups, and attendance make up your grade. He grades tough, so I didn't see anyone get 100%, but he grades on a curve and you have a group option. I did both exams and cases alone, because groups are annoying and i did great! Take him!

He has a very big ego and is easily frustrated. Very rude to his students (especially those taking notes on their laptops). His grading is very subjective and doesn't give many As. Attendance to each class is mandatory for his students (yet he missed several classes)and makes you stay long after the class is over since he gets offtrack during class

He demonstrated in our class how big-headed (he loves to hear himself talk) and impatient (when a student challenges him) he is. He had the nerve to slam a student’s laptop down just because he assumed he wasn’t taking notes. He gives limited feedback on papers and gets very upset when people rightly question his very subjective grading.

Really enjoyed Dr. Yaprak's lectures - one of the best Profs in Wayne State. Work load was too much; you must be in a good group to do well...do not attempt to do all assignments/mid term and final alone, that will kill your mark, and your sanity.
