Audie is really fun to have as a professor. I want to be like him someday. He's so laid back in his teaching style but knows how to convey what he wants students to learn. He cares about his students checks in with them once in a while to make sure things are good. He's just about as cool of a guy as you could have as a professor of anything.

In this class we read one book, it was quite short, but all of the homework is based on it, if you read the book you will be fine if you don't you might still pass, but not by much. The professor is understanding, and despite the lack of homework, you do learn quite a lot.

I was a very "checked-out" German student. I was going to live in Germany for 3 months, but I wasn't very concerned about class. Audie was awesome. He made me care about German. He also played music at a local establishment, which made him even more relatable. He is fantastic. Be warned, it's hard not to fall for him! ;)

Really cool teacher. He talks about drinking in Germany all the time. He doesn't give tests and homework is basically optional. If you show up you are almost guaranteed an A or AB. I would highly recommend him.

Audie is seriously the chillest professor out there. Doesn't give exams or tests and lets you hand in homework when you get around to it. As long as you show up to class, participate and do your work, you should get a good grade. Not to mention he's very nice and never gets mad about anything. I would take his class over and over again.

SUCH a nice professor. He helped me so much. We read one book for an entire semester and he helped us through it. I was clearly the worst at speaking and writing German in the class, but he didn't ever call me out or anything. Very easy class and I would take it again for sure

Audie was awesome. I am terrible at learning languages, and he didn't make me feel bad for it. If you want to learn things in a technical way, he isn't the best choice, but if you are interested in learning about German culture in a fun, laid back environment, this is the class for you!

This was my favorite class by far this semester. There is a real emphasis on speaking German in class, and therefore all writing will be done outside of class. I would highly recommend taking German with Audie!

Audie is a nice guy, but he needs to think about what we are learning. I am learning nothing in the class but how to become bored with reading german. sometimes we do fun activities, but I think he should focus somewhat more on teaching vocabulary. I excel in structured learning.

Audie Olson is probably the most attractive man on campus, period. When I first walked into his class I thought I died and went to heaven! He's a great professor and easily to relate to. The learning environment is laid back yet conducive to productivity. My favorite class, by far!

I have had Audie for 3 or 4 classes now, and they all run about the same. Be ready to read short stories in German and discuss them as a group. When class participation is low, this can be very boring. However, he is always willing to break off into another topic as long as its in German. This is an advantage because of the loose atmosphere.
