She comes off as very strict, and in most ways thats true, but ive seen her give students some really nice breaks (dont expect it though, slim chance). she can make you mad sometimes, but she is definitely my fav professor for cs. she can be a bit boring and confusing, but shes always willing to clarify.

Dr. Bracken is very knowledgeable about computers. It is hard to keep up with her notes, but then again computers is a hard subject to teach because it is so inclusive. Everyone complained about her tests but I thought they were really easy. Just read the text book and make sure you know everything on her study guides.

The class is pretty easy. She basically does the labs for you, and is clear with instructions and what she expects. The tests are a bit difficult and the material sometimes comes out of nowhere, but other than that they are not hard. I would take this class it really isn't that hard.

She is terrible and doesnt tell you everything you need. she just gave back a lab to the entire class and never said you had to print out the values but she stressed the that you should print out the formulas...majority of the class got a 60

horrible teacher, take this class with someone other than her. dont buy the book - you will never use it. her tests are ridiculous - none of the material was in the notes or mentioned in lecture. i ended up with a 3.0 for attendance and homework

Unorganized lecture, terrible writing on the board, and shes doesn't know the material that well, she refers many questions to the smart kid in class. Will help outside of class, but you gotta find her, she is only on campus 2.5 days a week! Avoid all upper level courses with her

Her notes are somewhat disorganized and her handwriting is really hard to read. She's really willing to answer questions about the course material. Sometimes she can be really vague, so it helps to ask her questions on things just to clear things up. She's rather strict on grading programs.
