Comment:

While working full time, online courses were the only options available for me. The testing center decreased their access hours, which is where the tests had to be taken. Professor Harrelson was incredibly flexible and understanding of my work obligations. Trig is tuff with lots of homework, but with a tutor, Harrelson's online class is worth it.

Took him online, and he is quick to reply to emails. Gives great feedback, and emails class almost everyday. Highly recommend for online, but for class I don't have an input.

he cares about each one of his students and makes sure everyone is doing well and understanding. he is not shy about intervening to help! he is truly an awesome sweet guy. he spends almost all day any day in his office so he is always available and responds to emails up until 11 pm. no excuse to fail this guy unless you absolutely don't try!

Does not explain things very well, gives one example and expects you to know everything about it. Assigns lots of homework but does not collect work. Pop quizzes almost daily from the hw he assigned, tests are beyond difficult and not enough time.

He's a really nice guy but I struggled in his class. He doesn't teach the best way for me to learn so I wouldn't take him again. He's lecture heavy and can get lost in what he's doing so be prepared for confusion.

Professor Harrelson has been extremely helpful to me while taking 8 week fast track maths this semester. He's quirky and hilarious and seriously cares about his students. He always responded to my emails within the hour, no matter the time, and was super helpful when I was unable to make it to class. HE'S GREAT!!

Taking the online course? Be prepared to put in some work. You basically teach yourself. But, Prof. Harrelson is there for you. If you have any questions just email him or use the ask the instructor tool. His response time has never taken longer than 20 min. Do the homework and use the "view and example" option. If you're serious you'll get an A.

Comment:

Prof Harrelson is a great teacher! Took it online over the summer along with PreCalc on campus. He let us start 2 weeks early(take full advantage, it was critical for me), responded to emails quickly, and even took the time to hold a quick lecture on campus to explain a difficult portion of the course and opened it up to the whole class.

Professor Harrelson was extremely helpful in this online class. He would get back to me almost immediately, even when he was overseas for a personal reason. Online course was self-paced, I finished in a few weeks. I panicked once over a take-home test, emailed him and he helped me through it. Good professor, taking him again for Calc.

I took his Trig class in the summer. He had us do group quizzes everyday. If you pay attention to what he goes over then you will know what he will put on the test. I'm not great at math and I didn't have a problem with his class. If you miss his class you will miss a lot of material. I would take his class again.

He is a great professor, pretty funny guy. However, his teaching style is not my preference. He is very unorganized and his teaching style is not very structures. he rambles on back on forth from one topic to another. Great guy, just not great of a professor.

Nice guy, just a very confusing instructor. Didn't teach the material in a consistent manner yet had high expectations & tended to be condescending when students had the courage to ask questions. He obviously knew the material insided & out, but seemed to make it more complicated than it needed to be. Take only if you want a challenge

He's a great professor! He goes over questions in class that everyone is struggling with, and he will tell you which questions he's actually going to test on throughout the module. His outlines are very helpful. I took this for college algebra and made an easy A.
