Comment:

An extremely tough grader who tended to give students C's, D's, and F's on assignments based on the smallest details, even if they hadn't been discussed in class. She taught the lab portion of my class, and by no means made the 2 hour 40 minute period go by quickly. I would try to avoid her if possible, since the lab is 13 of the class grade.

Comment:

Boring, unnecessary, and downright frustrating. I did not get a bad grade in this class, so I'm not bitter about how the course went for me, I just found Chapman to be downright awful when it came to clarity and straightforwardness. She'll help you if you beg for it, but without extra assistance, the course is quite confusing.

Comment:

She knows who pays attention and actually tries, and who doesn't, and her grading reflects that. If she knows you are trying she will reward you for it, and outside of class she is just a great person to talk to. The lab portion saved me in RDA.

This woman does not belong in the category of "professor". She will be nice and help you, even spend extra time explaining concepts. Ultimately, though, she is an absolutely terrible teacher and her grading is ridiculous. She's a lab assistant, not a professor.

Comment:

Nicest woman on the campus! Chapman is very helpful and funny. The lab course is hard and so is the actual class. Just LISTEN, and no computer games or AIM chatting. If you do the work and check it before handing it in, you will get a good grade. I had tons of fun with her. Definitely take RDA with her. Chapman is completely wise!!!

you've got to be kidding me. I have never in my entire life, ever ever ever had more of a boring professor. its not teaching...its simply standing up infront of the class the whole time talking. unchallenging, generally uninterested. this class could be interesting and I swear she went out of her way to make it as boring as humanly possible.

Prof. Chapman is hard. However, if you take the time to actually ask her questions, she is incredibly helpful. All you have to do is LISTEN during her lecture (not IM friends) and you will do fine. Check all your work before submitting it.
